Alderkit smiled at Tinyear. "Bumblestep's cool. I like to come visit him." She paused, looking to Bumblestep. "Even if he's a grumpy old badger all the time." She pokes him with her paw lightly, giggling. "Besides, it's nice to get out of the nursery and see everybody."

"I remember when i was a kit... everyone teased me cuz of my ears but i learned just to ignore them... what were you talking about again?" the old female rambled.

"If anyone ever teases me, I'll wack 'em!" She said, swiping at the air.
She was going to go on a long tangent about how warriors like she would be handle bullies, but She then thought of Tinykit. "He probably shouldn't be out this long. He's still pretty little..." she thought, in regards to Tinykit. "Well, I think it's about time we head back to the nursery. We really shouldn't be out this long."
She turned to Tinykit. "You ready to go?"

"Good idea," Tinyear meowed,"The poor mite must be starving!" she licked between their ears before sending them on their way.

Alderkit walks slowly beside Tinykit. "So what'd you think of the elders?" She asks cheerily, making small talk.

Bumblestep didn't mind that the kits left. In fact, he actually preferred when they weren't around. It wasn't that he didn't like kits or anything, in fact he really enjoyed talking to them usually, but he was simply too worried about accidentally stepping on or otherwise squishing one because of his clumsy and poorly coordinated movements.

"No." Tinykit said in response to Alderkit's question of if he was ready to leave. When he was forced away, he began protesting with loud squeaks of complaint. He wasn't really at an age yet where small talk was a thing he understood as the polite thing to do.
