Alderkit watched Tinykit play with Bumblestep's tail. "Yah, he's a little young. We won't be out long though." She paused, looking up at Bumblestep.
"Do you like him? I think he's pretty cool. It's a shame that he's younger. He might not be able to start apprentice training with me. And Sparrowpaw'll be a warrior by then... I'll be all alone..."
She looked down at her paws, fidgeting.

Blizzardclaw stood back up. "Alright," he said. "But I doubt Pebbleheart'll have stayed there for long with her energy." He walked away quickly before Metalstar could say anything else. Blizzardclaw didn't want any more commands from the bossy leader.

Sparrowpaw looked up from grooming herself when she heard her name. She padded over to where the kits and Bumblestep were chatting. "Maybe I'll be your mentor, Alderkit," she said, trying to cheer up the younger molly. "Then we'd still get to hang out all the time!"

Bumblestep shook his head after hearing what Sparrowpaw said. "You'll be too young. A mentor is supposed to be a more experienced warrior who can pass on their knowledge to their apprentice. Metalstar might be new to leading, but I don't think that even he would make the mistake of giving an apprentice to such a new warrior."

Tinykit's attention was quickly drawn to the new cat that walked up. He had never left the nursery before now and so just about everyone was new to him, even Sparrowpaw. "Hi." He meowed without realizing that he was probably interrupting.

"Maybe Sparrowpaw'll be such a good warrior, he gives her a apprentice early!" She says to Bumblestep, excitedly.
She hears Tinykit behind her say hi.
"Oh yeah, and Sparrowpaw! This is Tinykit. He's never really been out of the nursery much, so I'm not sure if you've met."

history: born to Heatherstar and Heronclaw, Tinyear was always teased for her ears. But whenever she retaliated, everyone blamed her and Snowberry, the medicine cat, taught her that she should stay calm and although threw a "hussy fit" at the time, she has remembered the wise cats words.As an apprentice she instantly took a liking to Underpaw, a handsome ginger speckled white Tom. When rogues attacked when she was 7 moons killing her parents and first mate, she was devestated and turned rogue until Snowberry, after much persuasion, got the young cat to rejoin the clan. Redpaw got friendly with the embarrassed she cat and, when they were old enough, became mates and had kits. When Greypaw became an apprentice, he was taken by twolegs leaving the pair kitless and Redheart ans Tinyear followed his scent but the tom was hit by a monster. After much persuasion, Snowberey got her loving again, this time with Fish, a loner but he joined the clan as Fishclaw. They had 4 kits together. Robinkit had a happy life as leader before killed by a fox. Jaykit became Jaybird, a loving mother to her 6 kits, dying at 58 moons. Twokit became Twostep, who joined his half brother in the twolegplace, and Creamkit died at birth. After an unknown sickness spread through the clan killing her mate and Snowberry, leaving her with nobody to talk her into another mate. Ravenstar has recently died leaving Metalstar to reign.

Bumblestep shrugged but he still didn't really think it would happen. And if it did, he would really start to question Metalstar's judgment.

Tinyear awoke stretching her brittle bones. "Good morning, Bumblestep, Sparrowpaw, oh, and you two must be the new kits! Sorry I haven't come to visit
My aching joints are killing me!" She purred.

[Weredog]

"Hi." Bumblestep greeted his den mate with his usual cheery grin. He considered the elderly she-cat to be his best friend, whether those feeling where shared or not, simply because they spent so much time together as one would expect of elders. "Tinykit is new but I see Alderkit a lot. She likes to come talk to me for some reason." His voice held a teasing tone to it and he was looking at the you she-kit as he spoke now.

A raspy purr rattled through the elders throat. "Don't get any ideas though, you are way too old for her!" She meowed.

Bumblestep gave a soft laugh at Tinyear's comment about his age before he rested his head down against the ground. Still laying on his side, the tabby stretched out his limbs with a wide yawn.
