Kavik lowered his head, his gaze intense as he picked up his pace, his black lips peeled back revealing his large fangs, lunging forward he managed to corner a much bigger prize, an injured doe. Snapping his fangs and raising his hackles he looked nearly two times his size. The doe bucked but placed to much weight on her hide leg with a squill she stumbled as the wolfdog threw himself at her tackling her to the ground and ripping the throat out as her screamed faded. He turned his head the doe still in his jaws as he saw Winter in the distance, he flicked his ear to the right and disappeared with his catch. Nearly 10 'minutes later he returned to the cabin laying down in the snow as he chewed on a large bone.

Winter looked up and saw Kavik leave, and let out a deep sigh. "What's wrong with Bella?" She whispered, her eyes filled with sadness. She decided to head to Sally.

"Oh beautiful girl, come here!" she said as she crouched down to shower Winter with hugs and kisses. Her breath came out like white puff balls, as if her mouth was a chimney.

Winter glanced at Sally, after she heard Bella's screams, and looked back. She sighed, feeling guilty, and gave a quick lick to Sally's hand. "Oh, my temper. I despise it." She gave one more look at Sally, then turned around and darted after Bella. "Bella, I-I-I'm so sorry. My temper gets the better of me too much. Please forgive me. I don't want anything to be between us." She lowered her head, and ran away, back to the cabin.

As I lay on the window seat I remembered my 5th birthday was in less a week. I was almost surprised that I forgot, I always felt like the oldest and perhaps the wisest. I could hear shouting out side and sat up on rump to get a better look and listening position. I just sigh hearing Bella being so childish, again and making winter upset. I stepped down from my spot and walked out side approaching the commotion, the snow was hard and it became dark so I couldn't make out Bella's figure running pass me but I knew it was her, and she had been crying. I continued towards bella ,and I sighed sympathetically. " What's the matter?" I say sitting in front of Bella with my hear close and near hers.
