The warrior returned the smile to the prisoner, as he continued to walk towards him. Finally, when he was closer to him, his ear flicked slightly hearing him talk. "Oh, hello there," Rowanbranch greeted as he sat down next to the tom, his head still looking forward.

He gave a raspy purr as his eyes gleamed excitedly. "I do so love you very much, Morningpaw!" Yellowpaw whispered, licking her cheek.

N e t t l e f a l lHe sat in silence after she left, trying in vain to calm himself down. He was terrified about what fate his leg had, and though he kept trying to free it, it was well and truly stuck. Twisting his body so that he could see, he wondered vaguely if he should try and cut the root with his claws. But when he saw the root he was stuck in, he knew that it was far too thick for his claws to get through. He sighed, waiting for Acornpaw to come back with help. He wondered who she'd bring. Hopefully not one of the very senior warriors; he wasn't sure he could take the embarrassment.

C h u b p e l tShe had picked up mouse scent and was crouching low, looking for the source. She found the small creature under a bush, and was just about to pounce when she heard something come crashing through the forest. She was about to yell at the cat, but when she turned, she saw it was a panicked Acornpaw. Chubpelt frowned and approached the apprentice, but didn't get a word out before Acornpaw yelled something about Nettlefall being stuck.
"Take me to where he is." she said, not really too worried. She figured it would be easy enough to free the male.

The tom dipped his head and turned around, running swiftly through the clearing. He stopped when he entered the den. "Swanfeather!" he called urgently "There is something wrong with Skytail!"
-Swanfeather-
The tom sighed. "Alright, then we have no choice but to do this here. Please chew and swallow this, it will help any pain you have." he pushed the Raspberry leaves to her muzzle, so she can access it without trouble.
-Wish-
Relief washed over him as the other tom had friendly greeted him. "You are a warrior, correct?" The tom shook his head slightly, "How rude of me, I am Wish." he stammered a little awkwardly, shuffling his paws. He hoped the warrior did not notice his odd way of speaking.

N e t t l e f a l lHe was relieved when Acornpaw came back with Chubpelt. The older warrior had many experiences with getting into trouble, so he was sure she could be of some help. He twisted his body to see where they were, and tugged at his leg again to show Chubpelt that he was well and truly stuck.
"We were hunting and it was slippery and I fell and-"

C h u b p e l t"Don't bother explaining what happened." she cut him off, suppressing a smile. Trust this young warrior to get himself into this kind of trouble. She moved so that she was standing above the root he was stuck under. It was thick, but if they really cut at it with their claws, they could probably free him. They'd need something extra too, to loosen the foot. She turned to Acornpaw.
"Go to Swanfeather or Morningpaw." she told the apprentice. "Ask them if they've got anything that will make a cat's fur slimy and smooth."

N e t t l e f a l lHe decided to stay silent while the two she-cats figured it out; it was probably best to just leave them to it. He spent the time focusing on removing his leg, tugging at it until he was tired, then resting and repeating the process. He was no closer to loosening it, and was beginning to get frustrated.

C h u b p e l tShe looked closely at the leg, then shook her head.
"He still has circulation in his leg, so that's ok," she told Acornpaw. "However, it will start to swell soon, and then we'll be in trouble. The honey will help it slide out, so you'll need to go back to camp quickly." she instructed. Without the honey, she knew his leg would probably swell by the time they could cut through the root. Then the leg could be damaged, and he'd be taken away from his warrior duties.
