Reserve Name: Seven Strides Stables
Reserve Location: Approximately 32 miles Southeast of Whitehorse, Canada
Reserve Manager: Sera Beltane
Reserve specialty: Jack-of-All, with a focus on training and retraining younger to middle-aged equines. Older equines are welcome, however depending upon age and health, the only extent of their training would be manners enough to be handled and safely turned out with the rest of the equines upon the somewhat sprawling expanse. Highly aggressive equines are perhaps not as eagerly received as others, however so long as there aren't too many other high maintenance cases currently on the reserve, such equines will be welcomed with an expectation of being quarantined until they are safe to be around another, already gentled, equine.

Reserve Name: Northern Glow Reserve & Stables
Reserve Location: Northern British Columbia, Canada.
Reserve Manager: Erin Kestrel
Reserve Speciality: NGRS doesn't have any speciality, making us Jack-of-all-trades. We will willingly take in and love any AISP, no matter their age, gender, or temperament. Erin has worked with many different equines, making her able to work with almost any problem horses. Aggressive ponies are just as welcome as any other, seeing as the stable hands are experienced in these matters. However, it will most likely be Erin working with the AISP, seeing as she would want to ensure only the best treatment for any new resident at NGRS.

A private island owned by the manager and owner of the stables. There are several different climates on the island thanks to it geologically diverse regions. The mountains are the coldest places. The highest recorded temperature was 68 degrees. The coldest has been -12 in remote areas. There are different locations on the island that are used for cold weather horses. The high pass and low pass are just two of them. The high pass is used for the summer and the low pass in winter.
Reserve Manager:
Dessabella Romaine Thalia
Reserve Specialty:
Artillery Stables is known to house retired military horses. They are well known for their various breeding programs for each of the breeds that inhabit the stables. Each program is named by a flower that is found on the island. They do rehabilitation, physical therapy, standard and advanced medical procedures, standard and special training, as well as taming. They have been known to deal with some of the most difficult cases and are always wanting a big challenge. AS also has a program for college students where they can make prosthetic limbs for amputee horses, assist doctors, assist trainers, or even observe what the island does. They keep a 3:1 ration of horses to handlers and usually have two or three extra for emergencies. The manager herself is a veterinarian doctor and has a Ph.D. When you live in an island that is far from any mainland, it always pays to have some top quality staff. They do their programs in stages. The first stage will be standard medical procedures and allowing the horse to get to know the island home. Training and taming will be used here. Second stage is interactions. The stables will allow the horse to interact with other handlers and horses to choose who to pair the horse with. More training and taming is done here. The third stage will be a bit harder for the horse since the training is made to be difficult for him. This will force the horse to learn critically. This is to ensure to teach the horse how to respond calmly to any situation thrown at them. Generally AS will saddle tame a horse and make sure it's deemed rideable before they train for a sled or cart.

I hope this works. Let me know if I need to change anything. I would love to be able to work with a big challenge ^^

May I apply for a second babe? If so, here's my application for a second one ^^

Thanks for hosting this. This is actually a really good idea for a grand opening event. I love the realistic creativity. ^^

Re: AISP Autumn Roundup - OPEN - ASSIGNINGS MAY BE DELAYED

Reserve Name: Saltaire farm http://www.chickensmoothie.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=103&t=3210175&p=102721634#p102721634

Reserve Location: Saltaire is a large equine stable that covers over 300 acres of land. It is located in the remote town of Fishtail, Montana. It has four barns, each with 15 stalls spaces. The stalls are spacious and have an outside section which is opened during the day (if it is sunny). Stalls are cleaned once a day by staff, and the horses are fed and watered three times a day, always around the same time. They are exercised each day, and either ridden, trained, or given turnout. They are also checked by the veterinarian at least once a month, and shod once a month. Horses receive the nutrients they need each day in their "bucket," a bucket filled with ]grains and also treats such as apples and carrots. During winter months, the horses are given blankets to keep them warm in the extreme weather, and their water is heated so it doesn't freeze.
Horses kept at Saltaire are most likely being trained in some way. There are three different arenas, one is a small warm-up pen, another is a medium-sized arena with enough room for about 6 horses to be ridden at a time, and the other is a large arena, and it commonly used for jumping. If a horse is skittish, it will be trained and ridden in the warm-up pen. Also, because of the amount of horses kept at Saltaire, multiple riders may need to use the arena at a time. This is not a problem, the riders use the space they are given and watch for each other.
The rest of the property consists of meadows, forests, a river, and a small lake. There are many trails that are used often, most of the time for recreation, but sometimes riders use the forest trails to desensitize a horse from it;s surroundings and become less skittish. Riders must have a partner though, In case something happens.
Riders and Staff sleep in the lodge - a large cabin-like structure. Most riders work as stall cleaners, feeders, and also horse trainers. Most riders are in their teenage years, but only the best come to Saltaire. Saltaire is considered an equine school, where instructors teach the younger people how to train, ride, and deal wit horses of different personalities. The students participate in online school during the evening, and do their riding, training, and stall work during the day. If a horse arrived at the barn and is still a bit wild, the instructors will work with the horse until is is at a manageable riding level for the students.
Note: This area is cold most of the time, and Winter is a longer season than usual.
Reserve Manager: Foalmoon
Reserve specialty: The specialty if the reserve is mainly training, where horses will be trained to do various types of riding. A horse will usually work with a younger student, and they will gain experience together. Students follow the direction of instructors, (there are three). The instructors are very experienced and will help the student with any problems they may face.
Although the specialty of the reserve is mainly training, it is a good place for foals. Horses kept at Saltaire are occasionally bred , and the foals receive special care and training. If an orphaned foal was adopted, it would be paired with another horse in the barn and trained. It would also be introduced to the other young horses.
I've moved to Smilus!!

Reserve Name:
RavenBlack Stables
Reserve Location: Yukon, Canada. RavenBlack Stables own a lot of land (789 acres). Horses can live naturally (there is water in a natural pond and they still get fed if they need it) or they can be put in smaller paddocks (1 acre each). 674 acres are manly mountains or rocky grounds with small forests for trails, our training grounds can be adapted for different horses and there is more than enough room for herds to roam around.
Reserve Manager: Darkreh RavenBlack. Though she does has an assistant, his name is Darkaz Rivern'wen.
Reserve speciality: RavenBlack Stables is mostly known for training retired race horses for other events, or just to give them somewhere to live, and train very green or young horses/ponys to do eventing or to just be a good family pony. But we also rescue any breed of horse/pony and give them a forever home. Our staff are very patient and are used to Stubborn/difficult horses, as most retired race horses have a reputation for bolting of. The staff (and manager) love challenges and are well equipped to handle wild and aggressive horses. We do the training slowly and patiently, there’s no point in rushing. There are 3 main stages and many other smaller steps (After introducing the horse to its new home and the medical procedures). The first is introducing the horse to its trainer, once we are satisfied we introduce tack. Next we usually start with lunging or walking round the arena on a lead rope, then we would see whether the horse is rideable, and if so we start with riding procedures.
