dipping her head, ottercreek returned to the center of camp. the chocolate calico sat down and licked her paw gently, bringing it over her ear to groom herself. she looked around. she wanted to talk to froststar more than anything- to lay with him all day and just talk and talk and talk until their voices were weak and they fell asleep together.

he dipped his head. "alright." he meowed, giving her a gentle nuzzle. the grey tom turned his head towards the leader, looking at him as he spoke to lionheart, foxfoot, and darksight. he saw a slight hint of confusion between the three. what are they doing?

"o-oh, sorry, was i interrupting you? i can just l-leave if you want..." hollypaw meowed shyly, looking down at the brittle grass that had lost its color in the season.

Lionheart looked shocked at his leader's rebuke. Was he not supposed to tell his leader when someone was breaking their ancestral code? "U-Uh, Froststar? She was the one who wanted to tell you badly." Glancing back at Foxfoot he felt his fur prickle in anger. She was the one who broke the code why am I getting in trouble? "I thought you would want to know when your warriors break the code."



Darksight still had his eyes on that mouse but he shook his head. "uh no it's fine." Sitting down neatly with his dark grey tail wrapped carefully over his paws he tipped his head. "So what's up." He meowed. He hadn't spoken much to the apprentice before. Even though he had just recently become a warrior when they were apprentices together he was already learning advanced skills while she was learning her basics.

Nightshade's ears gave a faint twitch as she heard the loud crunching of the leaves on the forest floor, her shoulder fur instantly starting to bristle a bit at the unfamiliar scent that reached her nose. Yet, it didnt take too much longer before her fur laid flat once more, discovering the two-leg scent that came as well. She'd be fine. Setting her paw back on the ground, her blue gaze drifted over towards the rusting ferns, a she-cat stepping into sight. As the feline introduced herself, Nightshade only dipped her head a little before answering. "Hello. That'd probably be because I'm fairly new to the area anyways. Im Nightshade by the way," she replied back with a faint tilt to her head, slightly curious as to why this... well she didnt seem like a kttypet, but not a loner either, wanted.

❝ Froststar narrowed his gaze at the two warriors, not sure who to believe. "Let's bring this up to my den," He finally spoke, noticing the unwanted attention they were attracting. "You don't want the clan to start spreading things, do you?" The large tom chuckled dryly as he nimbly made his way up to his den, not looking back to see if the two were following.

❝ Flarewhisker nuzzled into Stormrunner's shoulder for a brief moment before following his gaze towards the leader and two warriors. "I wonder what's going on," She muttered, straining her ears to try and hear better, but not succeeding. "Those cats are trouble though." The fluffy ginger molly scowled, tail lashing wildly behind her.

❝ Olivepaw let out a snort at Minnowfin's joke about the barrier. "I guess I'm lucky that my fur isn't as long as yours," He chuckled, easily slipping through the tunnel of brambles. "Minnow's barrier isn't actually that bad of a name though." The grey and white apprentice teased gently, nudging the molly playfully.

stormrunner nodded, flicking his tail. "that seems... fishy... though. i swear i saw foxfoot eating multiple prey- did she just turn it on lionheart?" he asked, frowning.

Swiftpaw nodded, flicking a leaf off of her back when it landed there. Her ears perked up and she jaws parted slightly, scenting the air for any prey. She let out a small delighted sound when she picked up the scent of a chaffinch. The blue-grey apprentice broke away from her mentor, tracking the chaffinch down.

The young apprentice, even though she was better at hunting fish, caught the chaffinch easily. Swiftpaw picked up the feathery body and circled back around to find Tinyclaw.

Bearleap raised his head when he scented Ottercreek. The tom watched the she-cat back out of the den, announcing that Hollowbriar had had her kits. The broad-shouldered tom got to his paws and followed Ottercreek out of the den. "Did you need me?" He mewed to Ottercreek.

Minnowfin snorted at Olivepaw, flicking him gently with her tail. "Help me come up with a better name for it then, I'll get Froststar to start calling it by that name."

Lionheart stood following Froststar he forced the fur on his shoulders down, although it took some effort. He shot an accusing glare back at Foxfoot before going into the shadows of Froststars den.What did this she-cat drag me into? His tail flicked unhappily back and forth.



Darksight watched as Lionheart followed Froststar. He hoped his brother was doing fine. Looking back down at Hollypaw he nodded. "Yeah I hope so. I didn't even have to finish a full border-patrol. Leaning forward he stretched out his long fore-limbs his tail and hindquarters sticking up in the air and his back in a deep arch. "Have you been out today." he asked going back into a sit.

"And stay out you crow-food eating mouse-brain!" Raggedkill yowled after the rogues retreating figure. Mudsplash snorted beside him, "You're so welcoming." Raggedkill just growled back a reply ignoring his brother's taunts. Flicking his tail he turned. "Let's get back to camp we should probably tell Froststar or (I forget who the deputy is) that we chased someone off." Feeling happy that he got to scare someone today Raggedkill lead them back to camp his tail high.



Mudsplash followed Raggedkill into camp and instantly noticed the odd mood in the air. He spotted Lionheart's tail disappear into Froststar's den. Leaving Raggedkill as he ran for the fresh kill pile Mudsplash padded over to Flarewhisker and Stormrunner, who were also watching his brother and Foxfoot. "Hey do you guys know what's going in with that?" He asked flicking his orange tail towards the leader den.
