Duskclan and Dawnclan weren't always two clans. It may be
hard to believe but moons ago these two clans ruled as one
mighty clan named Sunclan.
It all started long ago when Sunstar was the proud
leader of his clan.
He had two kits, Duskshadow was a tom and
Dawnrunner who was a she-cat. Although the two
had never been very close since they both knew
that one day their father would pick one of them
to be the next leader and both of them wanted
that position.
As Sunstar aged, Duskshadow began to notice how fond
he had grown to his sister, asking her for favors and
sometimes letting her pick the patrols. Duskshadow
knew from this that Sunstar was favoring his sister
over him and this was bad. Cats of the clan usually
have their own opinions of who they wanted to
become the leader and he knew that some cats
talked about how this clan would fall if Dawnrunner
became leader.
So Duskshadow did his best to rally these cats up and
moons later when Sunstar was ready to retire all the
cats of Sunclan gathered around the highstone hear
Sunstar's choice."The cat I choose to be the next
leader is....Dawnrunner!"
Just as cats began to yell out her name happily a yowl
echoed from behind the clearing where Duskshadow's
followers stood. Their claws unsheathed and ready for
battle.
Sunstar tried to reason with his son but the tom was
so filled with rage and a lust for power that he ordered
his cats to attack.
The battle was long and bloody with kin fighting kin
and friendships getting torn apart by claws.
Although the battle hadn't gone the way Duskshadow
had hopped since him and his cats were taken down
by Dawnrunner's followers.
Before they were chased out though Duskshadow did
one more thing, he killed Sunstar in his jealous rage
and left the camp with his cats.
Although Duskshadow didn't stop too far since he
then set up his own cat at another side of the clan's
large territory.
He and his cats officially named themselves Duskclan
and ruled over that side of the territory with Duskstar
as their leader.
Then back at the Sunclan camp, Sunstar gave his final
breaths telling his daughter to take over this clan in
the name of Dawnclan.

THE TERRITORY-

Dawnclan Territory- Welcome to Dawnclan territory where the cats live in a lush, green forest. Their cats are trained to be strong and sly cats so there are able to climb high in trees and slip through all the undergrowth quickly during hunting or any other things they need to get around quickly to do. Their main prey in the forest is Mice and squirrels and during the warm seasons, the forest is packed with prey although during the cold seasons they usually take shelter in the empty logs which also gives the cats of Dawnclan an advantage at prey in the cold seasons even if most of it is scarce.
Threats-Foxes, Dogs, Badgers, Snakes.




The Broken Monster- When the cats first came here as Sunclan this Monster had been here long before, although during the battles where Sunclan broke apart into Duskclan and Dawnclan. Dawnclan quickly took this piece of land due to the history it gave Sunclan, one winter when the cats were starving in their camp a patrol went out the border lines in search for prey and came back from that monster with enough prey to feed the whole clan due to the amount of prey that was taking shelter there. Although that was just an old story and no-one was sure that actually happened. But still to this day it's an amazing hunting spot!
Look out for snakes!!


Duskclan Territory- Welcome to Duskclan territory where their cats live on a hilly and marshy moor covered with tall grass and little ponds. Their camp is located on the highest point on the moor where the ground is dry so the cats don't get their paws wet while walking around their home base. The cats of Duskclan are trained to be quick and clever due to the long marshy moor they live on their main food sources are Frogs and water voles. The warm seasons keep the cats of Duskclan well fed due to the amount of prey the marshes attract, well.... mostly frogs.
Threats-Dogs, snakes, Hawks/Eagles, and Super rarely Alligators





The Boulder Patch- Basically, the name of this landmark is really what it is, being a spot of territory taken by the Duskclan cats it's used to get away from any chasing predators like dogs and stuff like that while also being a calming sunning spot. Although it is also a very nice hunting spot for anything wandering out of the Dawnclan forest and heading to shade themselves under the large stones




The Watering Hole- This spot of land has been fought over endlessly between the two clans, mostly because it's their main fresh water supply. Although throughout all the moons of fighting the two clans somehow came to an agreement of sharing it, although they had to keep to their own sides because the Watering Hole is literally right on the border.
