If a wolf smiles, they're baring their teeth and you're setting yourself up to get attacked.
So yeah, go ahead and smile. Just have your wolf attack anyone who smiles at them, watch their reactions. =D

Speaking of which, I'm trying to make a realistic wolf RP, but everytime i got to edit it I find more things to add. I don't want a massive text wall, I just want to practice not having them "speak." I thought it would be quick, fun, practice.
Now I'm putting together a whole post on wolf behavior. =P

Oh yeah, I experienced a similar thing, except it was cats and crying with tears. The owner had said that cats could not cry and yet others kinda ignored that. -.- I mean, I made the mistake too, but I didn't repeat it when I was told.

I am guilty of making dogs smaile and cats cry. But hey, if your dog has big mouth, when they pant it sorta does look like a grin. And my cat cried when I stepped on her tail. Meh, my epets are unususal...

For the most part, I'm fine with animals smiling/frowning/crying/juggling with a pink tutu tied around its buttocks, as long as it's allowed. What irks me is that when it's not allowed, people still do it -- even though it's written in plain language in the rules.

Smiling is a way of showing submission, and no harm. It happens.

A vet-tech? Really? I really doubt that. And if you read the rules it was right there in plain black and white text that your characters couldn't smile.
Oh, and the only reason the owner gave you permission was because you pressured her in to letting you >.> I swear if it were my roleplay I would have kicked them out at that exact moment.

R A N T: When I'm making a roleplay, and you put "no posting yet" everywhere you can, and someone goes and posts. It's happened to me before.
