Hey people! I've been stalking. I have a plot idea though!

"Every month, on the first day of the month, two people are taken from the city, most people view it as a sacrifice, and believe these people die. The hero-villain sets out to find out why they're being taken, and stop it, fighting aganst the villain-hero.
But it turns out that the villain-hero has been taking these people away from a corrupt government and to a place of safety and happiness, but (s)he can only take two at a time. The hero-villain knows this, and wants to stop people from escaping, so (s)he can control them."

What'cha think?

I really like that idea! Maybe the hero knows they're good, and is trying to prevent them from saving people while at the same time acting like a nice person, fooling the town into thinking the government protects them?

For centuries, we have roamed this beautiful land, free of saddles, bits, and spurs. Free of harnesses, whips, and fences that once held is captive. Now we go where we please without being kicked or weighed down with those pesky humans on our backs. Those show horses don't know what freedom feels like, all they care about are those brightly colored ribbons falling out of their manes or winning a stupid freaking trophy for their owners, not getting even a bit of gratitude from the humans. We aren't meant to have owners, we're meant to do what we please when we want to.

Hi guys! I'm quickly posting to say that tomorrow I'm going on holiday, I'll be away for about a week. Sorry about that! I promise that I'll read through anything posted here once I get back, and I might be able to go online at some point but it's unlikely.

I think we should work off the latest idea. Idk, i thought it was really cool! but its just my opinion. im excited to see what this collab brings

So what are we thinking for characters?

The "hero", we already know, is manipulative and socially skilled (thus how they manage to always look like a hero); we should probably come up with a motive for them. The most obvious one is that they just want to live in luxury and fame, and that's probably the one we'll go with if we want them to look blatantly evil after the twist. I assume they'll be the POV character, since the only other one we've discussed is the "villain"?

Gender doesn't really matter, but I assume that they'll be a different one from the "villain"? To do the whole contrast thing. Name and appearance are equally irrelevant, though they'd probably be somewhat attractive, since they're manipulating people like a champ. That's far easier when you're beautiful.

I really like this idea. My question is, are we going to be using characters from each of our stories for the main characters? If so, are we going to have a single main 'good villain' character and single main 'evil hero' character? What I was thinking is, going back to the discussion, what if we each contributed a single character, and rather than there being two single entities, there were two distinct groups, i.e. the 'antagonists' who want to save everyone from the aforementioned corrupt government and the 'protagonists' who are trying to keep them there? Better yet- we could have this group of evil heroes the actual ruling body of the corrupt government itself.

I think there should be small groups on both sides, but they shouldn't be made up of our characters. I'll repeat what I said in my first post here: if we used our characters, people would get annoyed about others writing their character inaccurately.

Another idea: What if we completely abandon the idea of 'good guys' and 'bad guys' and just have two groups who disagree? Both are trying to do different things, but both generally think what they're doing is right. Leave it up to the readers to decide who is good and who is evil.
