They said that their pup doesnt actually appear rosey right now, but will be obvious when it grows up (I cant seem to find that quote now, grr). But they also said their pup was a bed of roses to draw.
It also kinda reminds me of this picture, but reverse.
She said their her wasn't on this thread, so I checked out her photography. BTW alot of your photography links are coming up broken, at least on my end.
They also said 'cant help but look back at my pup stage through rose tinted glasses' suggesting the rose color.
