So I just moved into my dorm and met this awesome guy. Part of me is kind of hoping that I'll eventually become close enough to him that something would happen between us, but the more time passes the more I believe another girl is getting in the way.

So far they've already had a twinning day together (which included me too since we all were there when it was suggested, but only they took a photo together bc I was too busy to hang out with them that day), they've hung out alone more often, and they're constantly taking photos of only themselves and posting it on their snapchat story (when all of us were hanging out together).

And yes, part of me is jealous. Not only because it's him, but because they're kind of just doing their own thing and excluding the rest of us which kinda sucks. I mean, when we were all heading somewhere as a group he turned to me and started scoffing at the people who left side-eyes emojis on his instagram photo with her, which one could interpret as a sign of disinterest in her in that way... but part of me just can't help but feel like they'll eventually become a thing.

What should I do about this feeling?

I was asked out by a young man who is few year older than me but I don't like him in that way at all. What's a good way to tell him no without being too hard on him?

If you're younger, you can say your parents won't allow you to date until a certain age/grade.
You can also say you're too busy to dedicate time to a relationship, or are not interested in dating until a certain period of time.

Really, as long as you aren't rude he should understand. Maybe a bit upset, but that should pass.

I am an adult so the age thing wouldn't work out very well but I think I'll use the one about not being interested in dating. That seem to be where I am right now.

on Instagram, I got tagged in an anonymous confession from someone, though I have no idea who it is and want to know who it is.
my friends say they probably wouldn't ever really tell me it was them, but I'm still incredibly curious and anxious to know who it is.
the confession that was sent to me read,

honestly, I think it was so sweet that someone would ever send a message to me, even if it was anonymous, and it made me cry a little bit because nobody has ever said something like that to me.
it's killing me a little bit that I can't know who it is because I want to talk to them and hug them and thank them for saying all of that.

So... there's this guy I've liked since I've worked with him this past summer. He held my hand once as we were riding back in a friend's car, but it was a quick hand hold. He did it a couple times in the car, but the hand holding lasted like 2 seconds. I am not really sure if he likes me or not. And people think he's gay, which obviously I can't prove nor disprove, but it's not my place to do so. If he is, great. If he's not, great. (it would make my life easier to know, but I'm not going to outright ask him, that seems rude and inappropriate because we aren't terribly close friends, while we are friends).

I don't know what I should do. He doesn't have a phone to text him, and I don't think he goes on Facebook a lot (he did tag me in a post with a video he knew I'd like). He does have a Snapchat, and I was thinking about messaging him on Facebook to get his Snapchat. Is that a good idea? Or no?

I also don't know how to tell someone that I like them. Like, no idea. I've only had one boyfriend, and that was kind of a train wreck dating time because we didn't communicate well and basically I only dated him because I felt pressured by my college friends to do so, which I deeply regret for causing him pain now, but we're still friends. That was 2 years ago now.

Anyway, back to J. I do really like him. He's got a great personality, he's a really good guy, but I don't know if he likes me anymore. I saw him this past weekend because we both drove up to the place we worked to work the weekend, and it was amazing to see him. Really I didn't get to see him for too long before we separated off into our own work.

But yeah... How do I tell someone I like them? Is it ok to do so through a note, or through a snapchat or something?

So earlier today this guy, let's call him A, was talking to me when he suddenly asked "do you always wear mascara?" To which I replied yes, because I typically do (though I hadn't for the past couple days). Then I asked, "Why do you ask?" And he replied (so quickly I almost couldn't follow his words) "I just noticed it now and it looks pretty."

Do you think he was complimenting me, or like could this mean I could be a subject of interest for him? (Because I do have a slight thing for him.)

Every situation is different, it depends on how long you've known them, the way that they say it, and other factors like that. Some people are just like that and don't mean to flirt with you at all. There are others that, of course, mean it. And of course there are those people that literally flirt with anyone and everyone. But if they said it sentimentally, then maybe they did mean it. Take into account their personality as well, that's super important. This last point is a huge one, good luck. : )

Hun, I may not know that type of situation, but I kind f get where you coming from as well. And yeah. It's totally fine to just do it through a note or text if your more comfortable through that, you don't have to always do it through face-to-face, I'm still in school, so I don't know about work, but I did confess to my crush that I liked him through a letter, although he may have not read it, it was nice to finally get it off of my chest. And the small intimate gestures he did, such as the hand holding, may have been just friendly, or he could have been trying to hint at you that he likes you, you never know, but just in case, don't hold your hopes up, love. We don't want you getting hurt, now do we? Just be blunt about it, through letter or not, blunt or subtle, whichever way you prefer, as long as you want to, it's completely alright!

Have you actually talked to him about this? No relationship can work without open and honest communication; this means you guys need to talk to each other rather than going around to everyone else trying to figure each other out. ;3
