I was definitely expecting to see a huge change in the song, and that's what we got. I do think it fits TØP and people were disappointed when it wasn't a dark emo acoustic.

This is so true!!! A lot of people who don't play music themselves expect covers to be exactly like the original which doesn't make sense because why would you listen to a cover when you can just hear the original?!? I was completely expecting what tøp did with the song and after hearing it a few times, enjoyed it. My only thing was that it didn't really feel like Tyler was believing what he was singing which was a little off-putting becuase he's very good at that usually. I hope my original post didn't make anyone feel bad.

the cancer cover is so GOOD and honestly i could write an essay and a half about why it's amazing but i'll spare your brains lmao
like that song was going to be difficult to cover no matter what they did with it, and i was pleasantly surprised with what we got. it's not mcr, it's twenty one pilots - that's what people need to understand. funnily enough, a lot of people said the same thing when gerard started releasing his own music - a lot of people kept complaining about how unlike mcr it was without realizing that was the whole point. it's gerard way, not mcr. it still annoys me how people don't get that.

I went to a convention today and got the first issue of Doom Patrol, one of the comics Gerard's doing through Young Animal :^)) I haven't read it yet but the art style looks amazing and from what I've heard it's very weird but very much enjoyable :^) super excited!

So, here's a funny sad story.
So, whenever I was hanging out with my bff, G, and we were telling stories about our lives and school, and she said, (this is entirely her story, just telling all you out there) One day in highschool she was wearing her Black Parade My Chem shirt and an older teacher comes up to her and says something like this (can't remember exactly) "Hey, I've heard of that band, but they're a little old fashioned for me. Have you ever been to one of their concerts? She replies crying on the inside "Uhhmm, they broke up in 2013 before I even knew about them." so he says back, "Oh, I'm sorry." *regret for asking that question* Lol we're both so young, I wish I was born in the 90's :c why...

@EmoChild haha that's super relatable! I heard my first My Chem song in 2004 and liked it, but for some reason didn't keep listening to them! It's really sad, because obviously I'm obsessed with them now, but that only started two years ago, and too late. Also super ironic that after listening to some of their music for the first time, I remembered hearing them earlier and just not knowing who they were by! I really wish I could visit my past self and shove MCR tickets in my face and say "go before it's too late" x) I totally feel your friend too. All too often people will ask my favorite band and they'll be all "OH have you seen them live?" and I'm just like "they kind of broke up... *awkward pause*". Or "Oh you like MCR? Didn't they break up" and I'm like "we do not speak of that"
