Any last votes?
The Exile wrote:For the second time, the cats of Riverclan were
voting on who to exile for the recent murders.
Many cats didn't both to even try and hide their
terror, and many were wailing with misery as
friend turned on friend. Soon enough, the votes
had been collected. Lilyfoot. Every cat in the
clan turned their heads towards the queen, who
had a look of pure horror on her face. "But...
what about my kits? I can't leave them!" she
looked down at the two kits sat on either side of
her, each staring back at their mother with
confusion in their eyes. Taking a deep breath,
she forced herself to keep her voice level,
"Don't worry about me, just promise you'll both
stay strong and become the best warriors this
clan has ever seen, okay?" Both kits nodded in
sync as Lilyfoot stood up and padded out of
the camp without another word.
Lilyfoot wandered for days, however refused
to stray too far from the clans in case Riverclan
would accept her back and she could see her
kits once again. They never did. Instead, she
met her fate when she had dashed across an
old thunderpath towards a bush, getting hit
by a monster as she ran towards what she
thought were the familiar pelts of Poppykit
and Minnowkit.
Two motherless kits Riverclan, for shame!
The Kill wrote:Heatherpaw yawned, stretching out each of his
limbs in turn as he shook himself awake. It was
still very early as he emerged from the
apprentices' den, so early in fact that he seemed
to be the only cat awake. Light began to flood the
camp as Heatherpaw stood, gazing around as he
perked his ears to listen to the sound of the stream.
The stream. Spotpaw.
He shook the thought away as another cat padded
up to him, "Good morning" the cat spoke, to which
Heatherpaw responded with a small nod. Turning
his back on the other cat, he began to head over to
the fresh kill pile when pain seared through his hind
leg. The murderer struck while Heatherpaw was still
trying to piece together what had happened, and
slashed their claws over the apprentice's neck.
As the sun rose higher, Frostystar emerged from her
den, only to find her son lying still and cold. A loud
cry escaped her mouth as she collapsed next to his
still figure, shutting her eyes and pressing her head
against his side. Sadness as sharp as the claws that
had killed Heatherpaw tugged at her heart as she
pushed herself to her paws and raced out of camp.
Jumping into the river, the Riverclan cat let the waves
pull her down so she could join her only son in Starclan.
Careful, Riverclan, you have lost two cats this night!
With Frostystar dead, Fawnrunner becomes Fawnstar and
appoints Rainfeather as deputy.
