ally nodded carefully. "yeah.. i thought everyone had died.. or something.." she said with a small shrug. she was slowly becoming more and more comfortable around Kat.

I nodded. "There's no signs that anyone was ever here." I looked up at all the tall skyscrapers. "We're living in a dead city." The girls tone changed from nervous and guarded to sweet and trusting. I was happy that she came along.
