Asha's Charizard has been her best partner, her most powerful, and the one she holds the strongest bond with. He was hatched from an egg given to her by a friend, as a small, Jolly natured Charmander. She wasn't too keen on raising the fire type as she had already gotten her Braixen, but he grew on her, and became a main member of the team, able to sweep many teams - especially with its mega evolution, which she did trade the egg of another pokemon for. She trained him up to be a main sweeper and fighter, and even puts him against those he is weak to. The Pokemon itself is very connected to his trainer, very loyal, and refuses to give up if Asha has her mind set to it. While they do get defeated, they are both confident in each others abilities, keeping that strong bond with them.

Braixen, despite not being her highest level pokemon, was her starter, having received it from the professor at the start of her pokemon journey. The two hold fond memories together, even before Charizard came along, having beaten other trainers and gyms beforehand, and having that mind connection that is not seen with too many trainers and their own pokemon. Having raised this pokemon from a low level, Asha was looking forward to going far places with the fire type - which did hold a set back when she had refused to evolve to her final stage, Delphox. Asha was to deal with it, and while not having the pokemon, as she says, to the best of its own ability, she is somewhat glad for not evolving the pokemon, as they have grown even stronger, and with Braixen being happy, she can set aside her other thoughts and be happy, as well.
