The past.
The past can kill.

Shortfur padded happily to the freshkill pile, a smile on his face. The clan was buzzing with life. Just recently, Petalfur had a kit, Honeykit. He glanced at the nursery and the tiny scrap was chasing the queen's tail. Shortfur fell backwards and he ran into someone and he chuckled. "Sorry." The other cat just looked at him, emotionless, before finally speaking. "Remember what happened at the gathering?"

Shortfur hissed as memories flooded back to him. To help. All he wanted to do was help. But no, it was the complete opposite. He remembered cats flooding around him, the leaders looking down in fear. Snapping back to himself, the other cat meowed again. "Would you like to go hunting?" Shortfur nodded calmly. "Sure. Lets go hunting."

The past.
Something that can't be reversed.

The two cats padded out of camp together. "Why did you bring up the gathering?" Shortfur questioned, suddenly curious. The other cat didn't reply. They were going deeper and deeper into Thunderclan territory. The cat finally answered. "Can you regret the past?" Shortfur nodded. "Exactly. But you can't change the past." The cat suddenly unsheathed their claws, scarring Shortfur across the face. He hissed and fell backwards, staring at the ground. Blood dripped from his left eye and he looked up. But the cat was fast. They had gained some height in a small tree, and pounced down on the small cat.

What is the past?
Something that can only be regretted.

The cat had knocked the wind out of Shortfur as they landed, and the warrior went limp. The other cat scratched and bit, and scratched some more at the warrior's face. They sent a killing bite to the neck and Shortfur shrieked with pain before going silent. The smell of death lingered as the cat went back to the clan, where Shortfur would never be seen.

Watch out, Thunderclan! It seems like you might be off on a bad foot...

Duststar yawned, just waking up from a snooze. Getting up, he decided to go hunting. there was the tang of blood in the air, but decided that a Clan mate must have made a messy kill. The tom walked on, the blood sent growing stronger. He tried to push away the ball of nerve forming in his stomach, but all he could smell now was blood. Duststar started to run ahead, hoping the smell would fade. "its just a fox. Or a badger. Or-" Duststar gulped at the sight he suddenly stumbled on to. "Or a cat."

Ashpelt woke from his slumber, blinking the sleep out of his eyes. Stretching his limbs, he could see the leader walking out of camp. Curious, the warrior wondered why suddenly, out of nowhere, he remembered something. Early this morning he remembered a loud shriek coming from outside the camp, waking him up, but since he was so tired, the Tom fell back alseep. Shaking the odd memory out of his mind, he stepped out of the warrior's den, his eyes still looking at where Duststar left. Something felt weird.

Petalfur

The creamy tabby stretched her long paws. She curled her tail around Honeykit's small body and gazed at her kit proudly. Such a fragile, small creature. Petalfur raised her muzzle to the air. What was that wrenched smell? Carefully, the she-cat left the den, careful not to wake Honeykit. Blood. She could smell it clearly now. Quickening her pace, she found herself next to Duststar's frozen body. "W-what happen?" she stuttered, trembling. Not Stonefur!

Nightheart yawned, walking out of the Warriors den. He stops walking, a paw still in the air, when he scents blood, he looks around confused before following the scent out of camp. He sees petalfur and duststar and looks past them "what are you two… oh…" his eyes widen when he sees the dead body of a warrior

Pumpkinface walked out of the warriors den and grabbed a mouse. As he sat down, he noticed there was an odd feeling in camp today. However, the smell of mouse blocked out all other scents, so he decided to wait.
