Nicholas Storm
Nick wasn't sure what to look at. Vanendra had her own scary air, but Zenith had a really cool spear. He studied the supposed child of Nyx first. She carried a midnight black blade, made of the same material as the one Nicholas owned; stygian iron. She was definitely a child of one of the Underworld gods. That still hurt his brain. It was difficult to adjust your beliefs from knowing of one god to knowing of a lot. While he though, the fight ensued, if you could call it that. It started in finished in the same instant. "I'm rather glad that is not me..." Nicholas commented, moving back to where Renzii had settled.

Martin Wilcox | Lucy Blitzen
Eventually, the flock made it down to the forges, where Martin was busily repairing Prissy's sword. Lucy greeted him with much squealing. Martin covered his ears. "Guys, can you not?" He winced. "You're going to make me deaf." Lucy giggled and twirled her hair around her finger. It was a shame all the hottest guys were gay. "Sorry sweety," She chimed. "Just wanted to wish you a happy 17th. Got any birthday plans?" Martin rolled his eyes. "I'm not sure why you insist on flirting with me, Lucy. How many times do we have to go through this? Besides, I'm busy." "Wiiiiiiiiith~?" She asked, leaning on the table. Martin set the repaired sword aside and began working on the horseshoes. "This. I'm not big on parties. I appreciate you stopping by, though. Have a nice day you all." All of the girls chirped goodbye to him in sync with their ringleader and departed, Lucy leading them all.

Aiden Seaver
Aiden visibly paled. "No thanks" He tucked his papers in his arms and stood. "I'll just let the Apollo cabin know and... yeah." He glanced anxiously at Vanendra. "Hi, and uh, bye." The much shorter boy made haste out of the area. For an Athena kid, he was pretty cowardly. Aiden stopped by his cabin and tucked away his novel, moving onto the Apollo cabin next.

Zoe Steed
Zoe walked in silence with the daughter of Aphrodite. She wasn't really a talker as it was, and being with someone so much older didn't make her want to talk more. They made their way to the omega shape of cabins and entered the one belonging to Hephaestus; the god of the forge. Inside the cabin smelled like oil and metal and the scent was dizzying. Zoe stumbled inside and looked around. Sure enough, a large, brown box rested on one of the bunks. The daughter of Posideon picked it up and immediately dropped it with a loud thud. "Oof, it's heavy!" She yelped, poking it with her foot. "What do you think is inside?"

Prissy LaShea

"Its probably metal and gears and things" Prissy shrugged and picked up the box, setting it upon a desk close to the door before taking a seat on Martin's bed. "If you don't mind, I just want to delay us a bit... Not too fond of my siblings if you didn't know or couldn't tell... And quite honestly, I feel more at home in every other cabin but mine." She glanced over at Zoe, "Actually, I don't think I've been in your cabin yet..."

Renzii Russle

"Honestly, she's the best person to spare with. Zen's lucky she came back from he quest when she did. She's not as harsh as everyone thinks... She's not a monster, but she fights better when she's frustrated, so why ruin it for her?" He looked over at Nicholas, adjusting his eye-patch as its string had managed to become entangled in his hair. "If she'd feeling generous enough, she might offer to train you today too."

Zenith

Maybe he was just relying on gossip too much. And he sure wouldn't want people doing that with him. Just assuming. Why had he been a fool, besides, she wouldn't murder someone in camp. Zenith nodded and accepted her hand, brushing off some dust before getting back into his stance again. She was quick, he had to make sure he watched her every move.

Bringing his spear in-front of him, he set the tips a blaze. It was time for him to really test his skills. Narrowing his eyes, he watched her cautiously.

Vanendra Blackblood

"Hmm, better... Seems like you're a tad off balance... But I guess we'll see." Her mind switched from rampaging ball of fury to mentor in under a minute. Which was quite the record for her. "Shall I show you what I learned on this recent quest? I promise I'll go easy on you."

Zen nodded nervously at her words, but before she could attack, Ren stepped in. "Don't use new moves on him, thats not fair... He doesn't know what to expect."

She ignored his approach, her eyes glowing brighter than last time. "He's got magic, can only help him use it in an emergency situation if he actually feels threatened... You should know this Ares boy..." Her eyes were focused on Zenith. "Zen, just focus on instinct and you should land on your feet alright?"

And quickly, before Ren could actually step between the two, Vanendra quickly whipped her scythe forward, tightening her grip on the weapon as she sent forth a small solidified wall of shadows. Which, for the most part, seemed to have taken Zen with them...

Nicholas Storm | Martin Wilcox | Aiden Seaver | Lucy Blitzen | Zoe Steed
Nicholas considered it briefly. "I can barely hold a sword as it is. Are you sure that won't just make her angry?" He had never been a big fighter. What little he did know about using a sword he taught himself or re-purposed from fencing classes, though fencing wasn't even really sword fighting. And the fact Vanendra was actually a secret aunt he never knew about was really throwing him off. "I really don't want to see my fa--" He cut himself off by swearing in another language. Nick really needed to watch what he said. He was about to say "I really don't want to see my father right now.", but he couldn't slip up like that.

Martin felt himself breathe a small sigh of relief when they departed. All of the Aphrodite girls were nice, sure, but they were so overbearing. And their squealing drove him up the wall. Finally having his peace and quiet again, Martin continued working on horseshoes for Zoe's pegasus. It was beyond him why the child of Posideon was afraid of the Hephaestus group, other than she might be afraid of fire. He let the horseshoes cool in a trough of water and refilled the gas on Prissy's sword, flicking it on and off to make sure it was working properly.

Having alerted the Apollo cabin that Vanendra was sparring and there may be some injuries, Aiden made his way back across camp to the training area. It looked like they had already started. picking up his pace, the child of Athena made his way directly into the flock of squealing Aphrodite girls, which was a colossal mistake on his part. They all thought he was the cutest thing ever because he was short, and he hated it. But he didn't have the heart to tell them to go away and stop bothering him, so he suffered in silence. "Ooh, Aiden!" Lucy squeaked after a moment. "I actually made something for you!" "Uhm, Lucy, I don't think that's really--" Before he could finish, the daughter of Apollo dropped a flower crown on his head. The other girls squealed about how cute he was, and Aiden blushed with embarrassment. Someone please save me.

Zoe nodded. "I get it. At least you have sibling though. And friends." She shook the box experimentally. it didn't sound like gears inside. Her curiosity said to open it and see what was inside, but her conscious said otherwise. It was likely Martin's birthday present, anyway. "Do you want to see it? It's kinda lonely in there up near the front, but Having someone else inside might make it feel a little less that way." Zoe got up and waited for Prissy to retrieve the box for Martin beofre leading the way through the ring of cabins to where the Big Three sat. Zoe approached the Poseidon cabin.

(Okay since there's so much cross interaction going on, I'm just gonna do the names like this.)

Prissy LaShea

She snorted, "Friends?... I mean, sure I'm not looked down upon like Vanendra. but lets be honest here. I don't really have friends. And if you really think I do, then..." Prissy trailed off, not too sure how to end that sentence. "Siblings would be great, if they had a sense of discipline or personal space. They're so needy. So... So clingy and disgusting and gross."

With a sigh, Prissy nodded and followed Zoe. "Sorry, I didn't mean to go on a tangent, I just haven't been out of camp for a good few years now. And all their chatter and perfume is clogging my brain... You know?"

Renzii Russle

He grimaced with distaste, but knowing she was right, just nodded and stepped back next to Nick. "Yeah, she's not too harsh... I mean... She isn't the easiest either. I-" Ren cut himself off as the crazy Nyx girl seemed to make Zen disappear with a wall of shadows.

Zenith

Zenith definitely wasn't prepared for the massive wall that pummeled him to the ground. It looked like just regular shadows, but they were solidified. It was a strange power to say the least, and it did leave him winded, but he still had to be quick as he couldn't tell what else Vanendra might do. Jumping to his feet and coughing slightly, he dashed towards her and went to trip her with his spear. quickly bouncing back before he made contacts and darting to the other side as a way to sort of distract her.

Vanendra Blackblood

She was quite impressed by Zenith's speed, but shadow traveled a few feet away as he tried to confuse her with his moves. "I need a figh..." She trailed off as she was distracted by the close babbling of the Aphrodite posse. They were sqeaking about something with Aiden, who was, as she knew, the Athena boy who left earlier."Renzii, step in for a sec? I think I should go help wise guy back there..."

Vanendra headed in the direction of the noise and saw the group. "You little peacocks mind? I'm trying to do some real work over here and don't want to hear the sound of dying chickens." She stood menacingly with her scythe over her shoulder. Her violet eyes were narrowed slightly in annoyance as her patience was wearing thin.

Nicholas Storm | Martin Wilcox | Aiden Seaver | Lucy Blitzen | Zoe Steed
"I still feel like... like... gah!" He swore. Nicholas swore a lot, and now he was quite glad no one here understood his native tongue. "Curse your god-forsaken language, I'm using Greek." Nick said angrily, switching to the archaic language all demigods understood. He couldn't stand English. It was far too difficult for him to try to speak. "It's too bulky and hard to pronounce."

It quite a long time, but Martin finished shoeing Moon Twist, who despite knowing he needed horseshoes, hated the process with a passion. After many different kicks in various places, the burly child of Hephaestus finished tacking on the pegasus' horseshoes and gathered up Prissy's repaired sword, taking the lead of the brown pegasus and making his way towards the training grounds. he figured Prissy and Zoe could just meet him there, since Zoe was terrified of the forges and Prissy was planning on training anyway.

Most of the frolicking posse skedaddled when faced with Vanendra Blackblood, but Lucy held her ground. Aiden darted behind Vane and let her be a distraction while he returned to the sparring area, plucking off his embarrassing flower crown. He couldn't stand Lucy most days. "Aww, Vaneeee!" Lucy huffed, resting her hands on her hips. "We were just having fun! Speaking of, you could do with a little colorful fun yourself." She tutted, plopping a flower crown on Vanendra's black hair and giving her a puff of perfume before rejoining her flock, all of them giggling and waving and then hurrying out of sight. They were all quite frightened by her.

Aiden sat back in his spot in the shade of the tree near the training grounds, messing his hair back up. He couldn't stand the Aphrodite girls, and Lucy was by far the worst of them; and she was a child of Apollo! He grumbled something unintelligible and pouted for a bit, which didn't help his situation of people calling him cute. He was flat out adorable. He made a mental note to thank Vane when she got back over here, but one of the Hephaestus kids caught his eye first. "Ayyyyyyyyy, Martin!" He greeted him.

Zoe nodded once again. "Isn't Martin your friend though? He's always fixing your sword for you and everything." Zoe may not socialize with others, but she was very observant and paid attention to what they were doing. Thus why she was always judging people from afar. Like a cat. "Maybe you'll get yourself a quest sometime soon. Maybe you could just ask the creepy Nyx girl if you could go with her?" She told her. Zoe pushed open the cabin door and they were both hit with the salty smell of the ocean. Sure, it was lonely, but it did feel like home. Zoe sat on her bunk, which was one of maybe three in the entire cabin. "Hey, it looks like all your sisters have left the forges. Want to head back down there and get your sword?" She hoped Prissy would get Moon Twist as well.

Prissy LaShea

"Martin? ...No, I'm just pretty careless with my sword... I mean, I think Renzii might be closest to a friend. Or maybe Aiden? But he's more of the Camp's friend." Her eyes gazed around at the extravagant exterior of the cabin in awe. At least she wasn't choking on pefume. In fact, the nice sea smell in the air helped her relax a bit. At the mention of Vane, she shook her head slowly. "She's still suffering. Even if she had killed her quest-mates, it would've been traumatic... The one was her crush... If I even went on a quest with her, I don't want to be dragged into her emotional turmoil" Maybe she was just over thinking it? She suddenly lost herself in her thoughts, it was just for a few seconds before she heard Zoe. "Don't you need to get your pegasus? We can head back together if you'd like..."

Renzii Russle

With a sigh, Ren slipped into the tongue they all somehow knew by heart, "She's a decent mentor depending on her mood or view towards you... For example, she would never help any of the Aphrodite kids." He motioned over to Vanendra as she left to go deal with the flock. "It just all depends on if you're on good terms with her." Ren headed over to Zenith, engaging him in a small sparring.

When Aiden came back, Renzii snickered, "Had to be saved by Vane? Aren't you the son of the Goddess of War?... So disappointing..." His teasing was a bit harsh. He nodded at Martin as he approached.

Zenith

He smirked at Ren's comment about Aiden, but then regained his focus and continued to spar.

Vanendra Blackblood

"Fun? Like killing monsters and annoying people at camp?" Vanendra immediately took the crown off and gave them the bird as she walked back to the arena.

Nicholas Storm | Martin Wilcox | Aiden Seaver | Lucy Blitzen | Zoe Steed
"I'm not on good terms with anyone." He admitted. Unless you counted all the dead people he was friends with, he couldn't been on good terms with anyone. "I hardly know you people as it is. I haven't even been claimed yet." Nicholas still wasn't even sure how that worked. Did they just like pop in and say "this one's mine."? That'll be a fun experience.

Martin waved to the others as he guided the pegasus down the slope. A smile tugged at the corner of his mouth when he spotted Aiden and his flower crown, which he had returned to his head (Aiden actually liked it, strangely). "Been having fun with Lucy's flock, I see?" He chuckled. Aiden huffed through his nose but didn't answer. "Ren, Zenith." He nodded to the two of them and to Nick, not yet knowing his name. "Has Prissy returned yet? I fixed her sword. Again."

Lucy blew her a kiss in return, laughing it off. Vane really did scare her, but she wasn't about to let the child of Nyx see that. "Love you too!" Her flock snickered with her and moved onto another topic: boys. They always talked about boys, and Lucy helped each and every girl with their respective relationship problems.

Aiden shot Renzii a powerful glare but left it alone. He wasn't really one to lash out, unless you taunted him about how tiny he was. To Martin's question, he shook his head. "She needs to stop breaking that." The child of Athena said. "She should be back sometime soon for it, though. It's like a Prissy magnet."

The young girl shook her head. "No, Moon Twist can manage without me. He is older than me, anyway." Zoe thought about what she had said. Prissy wasn't wrong about Aiden being the camp's friend; everyone went to him for some reason or another, and he'd help you as long as you didn't call him cute. Or short. And Vanendra, well, she was an accident waiting to happen in Zoe's opinion. She'd heard about what happened, and actually had been around when it happened. It was when she was little, so she couldn't remember all the details. "Honestly, I think Vane wouldn't be so... touchy if she did therapy. I'm sure that would help."

Prissy LaShea

"Therapy? That won't work for her. Its been four years and she's still acting out on it. With PTSD that bad, I don't think therapy from any camper here will help." Prissy's eyes drifted to the floor. It was quite a sad story if one thought about it. It was even sadder realizing that she actually hadn't left the camp for four years. Four years of being stuck in the Aphrodite cabin while Vane was taking her anger out on monsters...

Renzii Russle

"Well you're new, so you're not on bad terms with her..." Renzii shrugged and just barely missed a blow from Zen.

Zenith

((just kinda jabbing at Renzii because idk what to write for him right now))

Vanendra Blackblood

Vanendra noticed Martin and cast her eyes to the ground as she headed to go sit in the shadows. It had been four years since the incident revolving around Martin's brother. She couldn't even bring herself to say the name. Any name of her former quest-mates for that matter. She sat silently and pulled her knees to her chin, letting her scythe lay at her feet. There was a few things she did have to talk to Martin about though. But was there any point approaching him now seeing how she was already sitting down?

Looking over in his direction, somehow she was able to find her voice; "Martin, when are you free today? It's your birthday right? I have something for you..."

Nicholas Storm | Martin Wilcox | Aiden Seaver | Lucy Blitzen | Zoe Steed
"I guess that makes sense..." He said as he watched Renzii and Zenith do their half-hearted sparring. It was much better than anything he could do. "Uhm, would you mind if I sparred with you, actually?" Nicholas asked, directing his question to Zenith. He many not know much English, but body language was something he could read very well. "I'm not really that good, but I may as well use my time here to get better." While everyone will still be okay being near me. He thought silently.

Martin nodded. "My seventeenth, yeah." He and Vanendra weren't necessarily on the best of terms. Though Martin didn't really believe Vane had murdered her quest mates on that fateful day, it was hard to look at her without thinking about it. Vane didn't ever come to see him, likely because she felt bad because his brother was on that quest, and Martin didn't seek her out. It had been that way for four years now. "I was working up at the forge, but I'm sure I can make some time." He answered. "Now works for me if it does for you. I'm just waiting for Prissy and Zoe." Martin nodded his head to the pegasus and she sword he held.

Seeing her flock was happy, Lucy faked being lightheaded, claiming the journey here had left her exhausted. She made her way to the infirmary and split from the group. Her siblings in the camp infirmary covered for her as they always did, and Lucy took her alone time. The daughter of Apollo changed into an older set of clothes that she didn't mind getting dirty and undid the ribbon in her hair, it changing into her bow. Quiver and bow in hand, she headed to the forest to train, collect plants, and overall just enjoy the scenery. The Apollo kids were the only ones that were aware of this side to Lucy, but they kept it a nice secret. Unless she was caught, no one would ever know.Just how it should be. Lucy thought with a smile.

Aiden watched as Zenith and Ren sparred, his mind drifting elsewhere. A part of him wanted to just hole up back in the Athena cabin and keep writing, but he had been in there all week. He needed some sun. The only problem was it was insanely hot for mid-spring and he didn't want to be outside. "I'd actually like to see that." The child of Athena chimed in when Nicholas spoke up. "Ren can take a break and tell you all the things you're doing wrong. And I'll let you know how you can fix them." The unclaimed demigod blinked. "Aren't you just a ray of sunshine today?"

"I'm sure that there's someone out there who could help her. And if not a therapist, maybe someone with a similar experience." Sure, Zoe had spent most of her time in camp, but there had to be some way to cope with that sort of thing. "Vane just hasn't found that thing that will help her deal with it yet, I think." She shrugged and went silent, holding a seashell that was on her bedside table in her hands. Zoe didn't have any personal belongings or anything linking to her family in her cabin, unlike most campers. Usually they were on pretty good terms with their mortal parents. With Zoe, no one even knew who her mortal parents were. She never talked about them. "We should get going." She said suddenly, standing up. "Be sure to get Martin's gift. I see him down at the training grounds with your sword and Moon Twist."

Prissy LaShea

With a little nod, Prissy grabbed the box and headed for the door. Here eyes were cloudy, dazed with thinking about the whole "quest gone bad" scenario. Thats where all of her friends went. And none of them had come back... Not even Vane. Vane, Her and Quin were quite the trio a few years back. And now... With a sigh, Prissy left the Poseidon cabin and headed for the arena, completely forgetting about Zoe as her thoughts were elsewhere.

Renzii Russle

Renzii stopped and stepped aside. Knowing Zen probably wouldn't step away from challenging a new guy. "Here, you can use my spears if you'd like." He offered, using Nicholas' preferred language.

Zenith

With a small nod, Zen leaned on his spear as he waited for the other two to switch out. His eyes followed Vane, whom of which he felt bad for. The sudden sprint for her cabin made him anxious for some reason. But what help could he do if she wouldn't be able to understand him?

Vanendra Blackblood

Her eyes widened a bit at the mention of Prissy. Four years and counting and Vane hadn't talked to her. And she didn't really want to. "Hmm." Vanendra grabbed her scythe and got to her feet. "Well... When you're free, you know where my cabin is... Happy Birthday." She gave him a half-hearted smile before heading off for her cabin.

Shadow travel would've been nice, but she was exhausted both mentally and physically. Her vision was blurring. And she could swear that she was walking on blood stained grass. Her stomach twisted and she forced herself to run for her cabin. There was no way she'd have a breakdown in front of the other campers. She didn't want their pity. She didn't want them to say that they understood when they really didn't.

The helplessness.

The elaborate plot.

And she was frozen there, staying blindly by his side...

There was a searing pain deep in her chest as she finally made it to her cabin, slamming the door behind her. Her knees buckled and in a few seconds, she was curled up on the floor with tears streaming down her face. She had to get a hold of herself, but the only way she could was if she was distracted by hunting a monster on an individual quest...
