[[Great idea for an RP, Ollie; I was in a circus roleplay once before, but it didn't get very far due to a lack of plot. . . This one has much more potential, though! n.n]]
Username: Roseness
Character name: Aeson Fallon [Goes by "Arson."]
Age: Eighteen years old
Gender: Male
Picture/Description:Personality: Arson is bold and outgoing, but slightly more dependent than not. He is outgoing and friendly to those who seem worthy of his attention; he is a people person and has to interact with other people to survive. He doesn't crave individual humans' presence, but instead people in general. He doesn't care what label someone has; he chooses to spend time with people that intrigue him although it is unusual for him to decide to build an actual lasting relationship with one particular person. He is actually a bit selfish, but not greedy. Arson doesn't care much for material items, but he is very protective of what little he already has. He is often lively and somewhat energetic, but he runs out of energy quickly. Arson is a little secretive about what he would rather keep hidden, but he isn't shy about things that aren't as important. It doesn't take much for him to unconceal his more inner secrets, though, if he likes you enough. He isn't afraid to try something new, even if it is a bit reckless. He doesn't mind doing favors for other people -- as long as he is rewarded afterwards. Arson is curious by nature; he is very inquisitive and will invade someone's privacy if he has to learn something about them. Spending so much time around other human beings has made him accustomed to reading body language and an actual person; he is a living lie detector, and hates those who try to deceive him. To those he loves and respects, he is actually very loyal. Arson is also quite experimental. He does things often simply because he finds it enjoyable or entertaining -- he absolutely abhors being bored with nothing to do. He is not one to procrastinate, and prefers to get to work immediately. He often works alone because he tends to leave his peers behind, but he is open to working in a group. Arson is very hands-on and prefers to experience things first-hand, especially where relationships are concerned. If he happens upon someone that he feels attracted to, he will dive head-first [Or other parts of his anatomy] to get close to that person by any means necessary. Oftentimes he will walk right up to someone and be on them like -- well, you get the picture. He is impulsive, and tends to think things through half-way or not at all. Arson doesn't care what others think [Unless he cares about them; then he puts their opinions into mild consideration.] and frequently does things just to spark a reaction. He manages change well and is not attached to specific places easily.
History: Arson's father, Darren Fallon, was a successful scientist [A genetic engineer, to be exact.] and was originally married to an unknown woman when he was thirty-three years old. Her name was Gwendolyn Fallon. After spending a mere two years together, the lady was sent to a mental health facility because she attempted to commit suicide for an undocumented reason. It was rumored, however, that she was clinically depressed but previously untreated for it; Darren proposed something of her that she was unwilling to do, and when he started to become too assertive while trying to convince her, Gwen snapped and decided that she couldn't take it anymore. Their relationship had already started to deteriorate although Darren continually visited her at least a few times a month. Only a year and a half later of no improvement, the genetic engineer fell for one of the facility's workers -- the young Alissa O'Harlotte, who in turn admitted that she felt the same way several months later. They eloped and had a small wedding, despite Darren's numerous requests to spend thousands of dollars on it. [He had already divorced Gwen approximately six months after her initial suicide attempt; he lost all romantic feelings for her, not very loyal at all. He felt compelled by guilt and continued visiting her.] The twins, Carlyle and Arson, were born somewhat mutated as a product of their father's tampering before their birth. A third child was born as well, but it died shortly after birth -- it had hair sprouting all over its body as well as an extra limb. [Arson's actual first name is "Aeson." He acquired his nickname much later on.] The other two were luckier than their short-lived sibling; Arson was very flexible but skinny, and Carlyle was born with an unknown respiratory disorder; his lungs were weak and vulnerable, as well as susceptible to germs. Alissa divorced Darren almost immediately and threatened to file a lawsuit. Darren offered a large sum of money so she would not. The logic in it overruled her fury; she was low on money with two infants to provide for alone. She accepted disgruntledly. After a few years, the boys' father started having visitations with them, but it didn't last long. When they were three years old, Alissa found a new boyfriend to love and support her. They were engaged with a baby [Ebenezer] on the way when Ben's father was found in bed with another woman on a day that Alissa decided to leave work early to surprise her dear Gerard. Of course, Alissa ended the relationship early and wanted an abortion although she could not have afforded it alone again, this time with a family of four. [Her money had almost run out what with Carlyle's frequent hospitalization.] The mother finally settled with another woman [Amythyst, Amy for short.] two and a half years later after she decided that men were manipulative [Insert swear word of your choice here]s. The other lesbian already had a five-year-old girl, Phyre. Phyre was eight months older than the twins. They never did really get along, even at first; Ebenezer was too young to have much of a relationship with anyone at the time, so he was generally neutral throughout his life. Amy's family had a fortune of money knocking around, but she used her portion moderately, thinking that material objects should be enjoyed and used for purposes other than display. Even so, the family lived in a relatively "nice" two-story house. The twins were entering their teens years and gradually becoming more adventurous. [Well, Arson, at least.]. Arson started becoming interested in contortionsim [He was quite skilled at it, what with his natural flexibility.] while Carlyle began dabbling in magic tricks. The two frequently performed together, oftentimes for money. Arson also developed a strange interest in fire; almost to the point of it becoming a fetish. He introduced it to his performances, and it soon became included in many of the two boys' shows. Around the time they were sixteen, Carlyle's condition started growing worse and he was forced to spend even more time in the hospital than before. Arson reacted to this by attempting to become more independent and gradually found himself losing the desire to live anymore without his other half. In this phase of his life, he severed his ties to his parental figures as well. Finally, without even planning to do so one day not long after his seventeenth birthday, Arson simply left his old life behind and ran away to attempt to support himself with his street-corner act. He happened upon the Cirque de la Lune a few months into his fresh lifestyle and followed it for the better part of a year until the day he turned eighteen when he promptly applied for a job there. He was rejected the first time, but he tried again two and a half months later and was accepted into the Cirque.
Type of performer: Contortionist [He often likes to combine stunts and fire in his acts, however.] with daredevil tendencies
Other: Not really.
Username: Roseness
Character name: Demitria Scum [Goes by D'mitria.]
Age: Twenty years old
Gender: Female
Picture/Description: Demitria is very thin due to a lack of proper nutrition as well as her previous emaciation before her life at the Cirque; her hip bones protrude sharply from her abdomen, and her ribs can be counted. She stands at approximately five feet, ten inches. She is particularly weak and has a poor immune system. Her skin color is light olive and is slightly yellowed. Her head is vaguely the shape of an inverted triangle. Her dyed, dark magenta hair is styled into a long side bang that mainly covers the left side of her face; it ends close to the corner of her mouth. The rest of her hair is barely shoulder-length and normally swept back from her face. Demitria has high, prominent cheekbones with gaunt cheeks and a relatively sharp chin; her nose is small, narrow, and slightly upturned. She also has a wide, narrow mouth with thin lips that seem to be permanently twisted into a faint, knowing smirk. She also has large, wide eyes that have a somewhat reflective luster and are a very light shade of brown; Demitria has thick, long eyelashes as well. Her eyebrows are placed about two inches above her eyes and are thin and slightly semi-circular as though she were always surprise about something although it is quite difficult to do so.
The left side of her body [The top side of her arm, her hip and side, the left side of her neck, a small portion of her face connecting to her left ear, and where her left ear should be] consists mainly of burn scar tissue; her left leg up to a few inches of her upper thigh was lost entirely in an explosion, and she now has a metal/plastic prosthetic in its place. Her left eye and most of her face was saved, but she lost the use of that eye.
Demitria can usually be found wearing a top hat and a matching suit. The only make-up she is willing to sport is mascara, for she often wears some that matches her outfit and/or mood.
Personality: Demitria Scum is always the center if attention in the room -- at least, that's what she strives to be. She usually tries hard to be noticed, and she enjoys standing out. She makes her opinion known and is extremely picky about nearly everything. She is also stubborn and rash at times, not to mention quite blunt and rather harsh. She is apathetic to most people outside of the circus, particularly ignorant people or those she simply dislikes. Even in the company of those she treasures most, she is abrasive and rough; Demitria is aggressive most of the time, and she is extremely physical, preferring to display her emotions through action rather than words. This does not mean that she does not have a voice that is rarely used; she can be loud when she wants to although she can be silent or noisy in different situations. Verbally, it is often the latter. These traits may lead one to presume that she has a nasty temper as well, but she seldom loses control of it. Demitria is an avid fan of debating things, so she is unlikely to pass up the opportunity of starting a good argument. She is skilled at winning them due to her three years of studying that field. She will not accuse something she knows or thinks is not true, but this does not mean that she is incapable and will not test someone; she does her research about someone or something if it sparks her interest. She has little to no conscience, and she is a smooth liar; she is manipulative and cruel if she wants to be. She must have control.
History: Demitria's parents were kind enough to her throughout her childhood although her father did not pay much attention to her, and her mother did not seem to care much for her actual emotions. She was born into a somewhat wealthy family, and she did not have much at all to complain about other than the unpleasant company, or lack thereof. Her mother primed and tweaked and pulled her into an inch of her life as a sweet, kind little bundle of feminisim that she could not last more than a few years until she snapped under the weight of her mother's obsessive, forced way of life for her. She became a rebel around the age of twelve. Her mother was horrified, but she proceeded to become extremely critical of her only daughter. They got into fights often although they were mostly verbal. This went on for five years until Demitria's mother finally kicked her single child out of the house. Demitria was perfectly content with that, and she set off into the world to fend for herself. It was not long until she was emaciated and considering dark and dirty ways to gain any sort of income. She was close to death when Damien found her. The Cirque de la Lune was in town that day, luckily for her, and she attempted to rob him after he walked out of a store the night before the circus. Her overpowered her and, in minutes, she found herself at the end of a brief but important conversation. He provided food, shelter, and a form of income for her as well as a family if she worked for the Cirque until he relieves her eventually.
Type of performer: Average, but trusted and experienced, worker [Soon to be ringmaster's apprentice.]
Other: She aspires to be a ringmaster one day.
