Altair Izar's are a species similar to a modern day gryphon. With large wings and powerful sharp talons they are force not to be messed with. Over the last few centuries these large creatures have been disappearing all around the globe, now only a few hundred remain. Males can be identified with there large manes and females have ruffs similar to tigers, the colour of the species vary though out the globe, often taking the feather colours of the native bird species.

The abilities of these cats are different to gryphons and big cats, while there big cat relatives are often great swimmers and runners these cats main strength is flying, unlike gryphons these guys have tail feathers making flying and catching prey a lot easier than the modern gryphon.

They are extremely large animals, on average taller than a man. There wings are about double the size of there bodies when fully spread out and there talons are about as long as a average ruler.

This is Mizo he seems to be a gold macaw cross black panther, or something like that!??!
He is actually part of a new species called the Altair Izar, they are also known as the bird cats. They are pretty much a reverse gryphon.
