Cloverpaw's words surprised Speckleflame and she bowed her head. "Why?" She asked.

Petaldrop saw a fish and leaped forward, but instead of landing, she tripped on a rock and fell into the water. She hissed when the cold water hit her, then brought her down.

"THEY ALWAYS LOVED YOU MORE! EVERYONE ALWAYS LOVED YOU MORE!" Cloberpaw broke into sobs, choking on her own words.

[Sunsmoke]

Darkswift ears perks up as he jumps into the water and tried to pull her up. "Petaldrop!"

[PopcornWaffle]

"Why would you say that? Mom loves you!" Speckleflame licked Cloverpaw's ears to try and comfort her.

Petaldrop heard Darkswift's voice, but it felt so distance that it might as well been her imagination. She reached her paws up so Darkswift could see them, but she quickly disappeared back under.

[Sunsmoke]

Darkswift's ears perk as he dives into the water and swims to her. he held his paw out towards her.

[PopcornWaffle]

Not knowing what else to do, Petaldrop bit softly onto Darkswift's paw and started kicking her legs. She needed to get back to shore! She was freezing!

Darkswift flicks his tail as he swim to her. he pulled her up and nudge him. "Why?!"

[PopcornWaffle]

"Why? I was getting food for the Clan, that's why!" Petaldrop hissed her reply. Her fur was clumped up or matted to her pelt. "I can feel the ice forming in my fur!" She snapped, moving her head so she could lick her back.
