Pearl and rose quartz anyone?

I don't watch Steven Universe, but I can definitely see the resemblance. However, I'm not sure if that would be allowed due to copyright. But then again, if I'm not mistaken weren't there Studio Ghibli horses in the past?

I'm sure they're based on gemstones, not Steven Universe.

You are correct, as long as the pets are inspired, and not directly copied, it's not a problem, we've also had winx inspired BW's, and Sonic inspired ponies , we've had a few other "inspired" litters but those are the first ones that come to mind.

That makes sense. In that case it does seem to match up, but again, I don't watch the show, so what would the newborn be based off of?

As far as i know, the gems in the show, are created through rocks. A serum is injected in the rocks allowing a gem to take form and shape, then they burst out of the rocks.

Saikiyo confirmed they're not based off of geodes. Though I'm interested, what types of gemstones do you think they are?

Ooh, this is getting interesting! So the ponies must be precious minerals or gems in some way.

Well... you know... pink pearls exist. I wonder if they're all different sorts of pearls...
