Starring into the rippling stream Caoimhe repeated the words of the prophecy over and over to herself as if that would give them more semblance of sense. Who were the five brothers? What was the mark? Question after question raced through her mind and for once the wild princess wished she was a little less wild and a little more like her twin Rhena. If anyone could find the answer to this riddle of a prophecy it would be her twin sister, for as long as they'd been alive it seemed that her sister had possessed an affinity for all things intellectual while Caoimhe had been drawn to the more physical pursuits. Though they were twins the two sisters couldn't have been made to be more different, from looks to personality, many people commented on their differences from the lowest born commoner to the highest of nobles. As she stared into the shallow waters Caoimhe couldn't help but catch a glimpse of her golden blonde hair, out of all her sisters it seemed that she was the only one to have inherited blonde locks from their parents which at times made her feel like the odd one out in a family of seven.
Brushing away those useless and extremely unhelpful thoughts the princesses forced herself to return to the task at hand, solving at least some portion of the prophecy. The third a girl so wild and free, will try to outrun the sea, ever since the black rider had returned to this forest and supposedly back to the fae realm that phrase had been knocking around in her skull and giving rise to those heart pounding dreams that left her exhausted. The words themselves were simple but the meaning behind them was mystifying, how could anyone outrun the ocean? Caoimhe had only been to the ocean a handful of times and though she knew how to swim and even sail she knew there was one thing no one could do and that was outrun the largest body of water in the world. Sighing in frustration Caoimhe ran a hand through her hair no matter how much she thought about all of this the more questions crept up, questions that Caoimhe alone could not answer.
Hearing the soft crunch of leaves beside her Caoimhe became very still, though she often ran wild in these forests the princess knew that she had to be cautious when dealing with strangers. Though she wasn't completely defenseless when it came to her combat skills Caoimhe was no fool, if she could outrun someone that was better than trying to face them in combat. Tensing her muscles and ready to take off in a moments notice Caoimhe's plans for escape were faulted when a familiar teasing voice floated towards her. Looking up Caoimhe couldn't help but smile as the huntsman approached her "Well clearly I'm lost." she replied her voice dripping with sarcasm. Pushing herself up the blond princess shook the leaves and forest debris off of her cape before looking back up at Fionn and answering honestly "I've always found this to be the best place to think." she told him honestly knowing that the hunter would be able to see through any lie she could have made up.
I'm so SORRY about the time that this took, I've had a fairly busy week}}
