Hello there, everyone! I am a semi-tradition namer, I normally use traditional prefixes and suffixes, but will occasionally sheen away from the methods. Ex: Sometimes I'll use -blaze or Wolf- but very rarely ones like Soft- or Sweet- I will not rate traditionally if the name is non-traditionalThis is a really nice purple!!

Name Rates

Oakstream, 9.5/10, Good name, and it suits him! The only thing is, the k-str is sort of clunky. I wouldn't say to change it, though, as it may just be me.

Gannetcloud, 10/10, Good name! It suits her, and I can't see anything wrong with it.

Twistedtail, 10/10, I personally enjoy reading name changes and the reasons behind them, and this one is very neat! The sound like a very interesting character, and would probably be fun to read about.

My Names

Nightpelt,
A black tom with copper eyes and one white paw, as well as a white chest. He has troubles swimming though has excellent eyesight- even for a cat. He is good at lying and is considered crazy by some, constantly collecting pebbles and shells and arranging them in the nursery. Of course, Fogkit and Antkit try to organize his collection. He’s a bit of a trouble magnet, considering he leaves camp without permission a lot.
Night- for predominately black pelt, -pelt for no nameable personality or skill traits.
Traditional

Darkfoot, a small black tom with copper eyes. He is a natural leader, and comes up with most of the games played in the nursery. He is creative and excitable, though has a raspy voice that make some turn a deaf ear to him. He is blind, though is trying to adapt by using his other senses, and is quite fast, though somewhat cowardly. He is a bit full of himself. (I'm a bit torn. Since he's blind, but is skilled in other senses because of this, I was wondering if nose- would be a better suffix for him? To recognize that?
Dark- for his pelt, -foot for his speed
Traditional

Firtail, a grey tom with copper eyes. He looks on the dark side of things and is overly cautious. He can stay calm in stressful situations and is handsome. He is, however quite predictable and unsure of whether or not he believes in StarClan. He is good at climbing.
Fir- for his grey pelt, -tail for his agility/skill in climbing trees.

Important! Please read if you know genetics! These cats are from a fanfiction, and I want to maintain a sense of realism, so if there is anything wrong with the genetics, PLEASE tell me! Ex: Torties are hardly ever male, and if they are, they usually have 'problems' that could interfere with clan life, same with calicos, ect.

Also, if any of the descriptions are a little awkward, that is because they are taken from my fanfiction, so some were leaders, kits, or apprentices.

Just a fair warning, I am NOT a traditional namer. I like to think outside the box so a lot of my name's are very unique and different. Also I roleplay Medicine Cats a lot so you may see a theme here. I also mainly rp she-cats

    Name Rates
Nightpelt and Darkfoot- 6/10. While these are good, traditional sounding names, I think they leave a lot to be desired. I think they lack a uniqueness that all warrior names should have. Maybe that's just me, I like names that hive you a feel for who the cat is. There is, of course, nothing wrong with the names. I just don't like them personally.

Firtail- 9/10 I like this name a lot. Fir isn't used often, and as far as I remember has never been used in the books which gives it that uniqueness I was talking about above.

    My Cats;
Sunpuddle - A long haired, dark ginger tabby she-cat with a white chest, belly, and paws. Given the prefix Sun for her coloration, and puddle for the color of her eyes (stormy blue). She is a young warrior, sister to Rosepetal and Brackenfrost. Very good at swimming.

Petalstep - One of my first cats. Short haired dark ginger tabby with white chest, belly, and paws. Sister to Inktail. Very Feisty and Argumentative. Mate and former apprentice to Raventalon.

Kindlingtail - A slightly scruffy looking she-cat. Her fur is mostly pale gray with patches of light ginger tabby here and there. Daughter of Heatherstar and Lionstar. Half sister to Thistlepaw. Very kind and gentle, but can be fierce when she needs to be.

Raventalon - Black and White tomcat with Gray eyes. Brother of Crowfoot. Very reserved, stoic, respectful. Deputy of his clan. Mate and former mentor of Petalstep.

Nightwillow - One of my first Medicine Cats. A blue black she-cat with dark blue eyes. Very gentle and kind, shy. Beloved by her clanmates. Future mother and mentor to Sparrowflight.

Sunpuddle - 10/10
Ok, at first I thought 'what kind of a suffix is puddle?' But then as I said it to myself and looked at it, I could actually see a cat with this name and it sounds so adorable to me! The only part of the description of this cat I didn't like is that you said her suffix was because of her eye color, but puddles don't really seem to suit a dark blue eye color to me. I feel like puddles are more of a brown color because of the dirt, but that might just be my experience. I guess in a forest that would make sense that the puddles might stay a blue color.

Petalstep - 7/10
But why 'step?' I don't see step suiting this cat very well... Other than that, I like it. The name sounds nice.

Kindlingtail - 6/10
I see where you were going with the prefix, but I don't know how I feel about it. I don't know if cats would understand the concept of 'kindling.' I can understand how they can know fire or flames, but not how they could understand what is used to start a fire, unless it was just 'wood' to them. Plus, I doubt they really saw a smaller scale fire, if they've ever actually seen one, if that makes sense. It just doesn't seem like they could know the word, at least to me. Also, why tail? Even though I'm not traditional, both parts of the name have to make at least some kind of sense in regard to the cat for me, or make sense as a prefix and suffix combined.

Raventalon - 9/10
I like this name, and it makes sense. I actually love the suffix of 'talon,' and I feel like people underestimate it as a suffix. If feather can be one for more than just Crowfeather, why not talon be used since it is also a part of a bird? I like it!

Nightwillow - 9.5/10
I also love the sound of this name, and I can visualize a cat with this name. The flow sounds a tad off, but other than that I really adore this name and the sound of the cat.

----------------------------------------------

Seedfrost - a dark brown tom with a white chest, icy blue eyes. Quiet and calculating type of cat, he prefers the shadows and prefers listening before making an input, and even then he will only make his voice heard on an issue that really matters. He is very loyal to every cat in his Clan, and would do anything to help them.

Echostorm - a black and gray tom with blue eyes and white feet. Charismatic, outgoing, and strong. All the cats in the Clan adore him and look up to him. He is a top warrior, and there are rumors floating around his Clan that he would be a better deputy than the current one.

Brokenleaf - a black and ginger mottled tom with a torn ear and scars on legs and tail; green eyes. He was once a loner/rogue, given the name Broken because of his past, and he had a mate named Leaf. When she died in a fight, he was taken in and healed by a Clan, and he requested to join them. Upon hearing his story, he was given his name of Brokenleaf. He is kind of seen as intimidating, but he loves to be around others.

I'm a traditional namer, but I do occasionally enjoy having fun with my names and will rate according to whatever style you prefer. :)

Seedfrost - 9/10. I see where you're going with both the prefix and the suffix, and I think they both fit fine! I'm especially fond of the suffix -frost used in this context because I think it fits really well. The only reason why this doesn't get full points is because I personally think the flow is slightly off, but that is very much a personal preference and I see nothing wrong with this name otherwise.

Echostorm - 10/10. Before I went into traditionalism I loved the prefix Echo-, and even now I still do. :D I think this is a great name! It sounds good, has excellent flow and makes sense, as well. The character himself also sounds like a sweetheart.

Brokenleaf - 7/10. Personally, I think the prefixes Broken-, Lost- etc. are a little cliché in Warriors, especially if it's a name chosen for a character's past. Again, though, it's a personal preference, and I otherwise like the way this name sounds; it's very visually appealing, and it all makes sense, given the character's backstory. :)

-

Traditional names:

Laureltail - white tom with amber eyes. Mischievous and playful, this young warrior got into a lot of trouble as an apprentice due to all his antics and pranks he pulled (and sometimes still does), but in the end, he is a determined warrior who is always ready to lay down his life for his Clan. The name Laurel- was given for his white pelt and -tail was given for his superior climbing ability and agility - he is often chosen as a treetop scout because of this.

Cranestripe - large, light grey she-cat with yellow-green eyes and pronounced tabby stripes. Being the daughter of the Clan leader and rather used to getting her own way, she can be haughty and somewhat bossy at times, but ultimately has good intentions and genuinely tries to help others, though she can get miffed when her help is refused. She is fairly good at swimming and fishing, but given that she comes from a water-based Clan, her skills are considered average, and she was therefore given the suffix -stripe in honour of her noticeable tabby coat.

Shadeclaw - longhair tuxedo tom with green eyes. Shadeclaw had shown promising battle skills ever since he tussled with his littermates in the nursery, and he proved himself to be a fighting prodigy upon reaching apprenticeship and receiving formal training. He was given the suffix -claw to honour this and is considered one of the best fighters in the Clan. For all his battle prowess, however, he detests unnecessary violence and always prefers to talk rather than fight. Shadeclaw is otherwise a very calm, amiable tom who is extremely easy-going and relaxed. He has a deathly fear of water following a near-drowning in his apprenticehood, but he speaks of this to no one out of embarrassment.

Non-traditional:

Watersweep - just a little name I came up with for fun some years ago, haha. She's a blue-grey she-cat with green eyes and a plumy tail, and is a well-known queen in her Clan, having raised many litters. She is proud of all her kits and considers the whole Clan her family, and is also a patient listener and giver of good advice, leading many cats to come to her whenever they are troubled. She is friendly, but doesn't do well under stress, and can get fretful and even snappish whenever any of her Clanmates are in danger.

Just a fair warning, I am NOT a traditional namer. I like to think outside the box so a lot of my name's are very unique and different. Also I roleplay Medicine Cats a lot so you may see a theme here. I also mainly rp she-cats

    Name Rates
Laureltail - 9/10 I really like this name. It's very unique in the fact that Laurel isn't used often so there's the uniqueness factor that I'm always looking for. I think the flow is off a bit, but other than that I really like the name.

Cranestripe - 7/10. Not a bad name overall. Crane isn't used often so I like that and Stripe is straight forward, obvious due to the description but in a good way. Solid name.

Shadeclaw - 7/10. Not something I would pick, but that doesn't mean it's a bad name. I like the use of Shade, since Shadow can be overused. And claw definitely indicates a cat with strong fighting skills. Overall it's a good name even if it's not really my typical taste.

Watersweep - 3/10. It's definitely unique... but idk. I don't like the name. Nothing wrong with it and as you said it was just for fun but something about it rubs me the wrong way for some reason.

    My Cats;
Flutteringbird - Flutteringbird is a pale brown tabby with jet black stripes. She always wanted to be a Medicine Cat but had a severe accident as an apprentice and was captured by twolegs, who later had to amputate her leg. After healing she eventually escaped and managed to return to her clan, but was forced to give up her dreams to become a Medicine Cat Apprentice.

Quailtuft - a dark brown tabby with thick fur and jet black stripes. Quailtuft for her coloring, tuft for the gifts of fur on the tips of her ears. Friendly she-cat, veey energetic and enthusiastic with a love of life.

Stagleap - a quiet, intelligent young tomcat with short, dark brown fur and hazel eyes. Given the prefix Stag due to his coloring, and Leap due to his powerful hind legs. Very good at hunting and tracking.

Windtalon - a long haired, dilute calico male (rare, I know). Very relaxed and easy going tomcat. Taken into the clan as a kitten and decided fighting wasn't for him but healing was. Went in to fall in love and have kits of his own despite the rules.

Falconbeak - A dark brown tomcat. His muzzle, chest, belly, paws, and tail tip are all cream colored. Bright green eyes. Very arrogant, over-confident, snarky, stubborn. Thinks he's all that.

Flutteringbird - 7/10. It's a nice, unique name, though a trifle long for my tastes, and Fluttering- seems like a bit of an odd prefix to name a kitten. Otherwise, it's not bad!

Quailtuft - 10/10. This is actually the cutest name ever and I love it. :D Both the prefix and the suffix make sense, and it flows pretty well. Not much else to say here!

Stagleap - 8/10. It's a pretty good name and it makes sense. I personally shy away from gendered prefixes like Stag-, Vixen- etc. but that's simply a personal preference, and apart from that, I see nothing wrong with this name!

Windtalon - 8/10. The flow feels slightly off, but it's otherwise a good name, and is very visually evocative. The suffix -talon seems a bit strange to give a medicine cat because personally, it's always evoked a kind of fighting/hunting aura, but that's just me, and I like this name overall.

Falconbeak - 7/10. I understand the prefix, but the suffix just seems somewhat strange to me. Either way, it's personally not the kind of name I'd choose, but it does flow well and is pretty original.

--

Brambleleaf - stocky brown tabby tom with hazel eyes. He worked as a medicine cat in a Clan that was torn apart by war, and was subsequently wounded and forced to flee the scene with several other injured cats when the enemy group invaded. He now walks with a limp from a shoulder that was badly broken in battle, but was taken in by another Clan and resumed his medicine cat duties in a considerably more peaceful environment. Patient, amiable, but with a surprisingly fierce temper when provoked, he is a prodigal healer, which gave him his suffix -leaf.

Fenneltail - golden tom with green eyes. Light-hearted and optimistic, this young tom sometimes has trouble taking things seriously, but is endlessly loyal to his friends and has strong morals, willing to fight for what he believes in. He has superior agility and climbing ability, considered excellent even in his treetop Clan, giving him the suffix -tail when he became a warrior.

Lionheart - small ginger tom with yellow eyes and white markings. He was born premature and is the only survivor of his litter, his mother and sibling having all died in kitting. He is rather runty and has trouble breathing at times, but has a huge personality to make up for it and refuses to be underestimated and teased by his fellow apprentices. He is a scrappy fighter and determined to become the best warrior possible, and is otherwise a relatively friendly tom as long as you don't irk him. He is a strong believer in justice and follows the rules diligently, unless they prevent him from doing what is right.

Rushwhisker - skinny brown tabby she-cat with amber eyes and white paws. Withdrawn and wary, she is used to growing up in a Clan with scarce food where she often went to sleep hungry, and thus can be rather protective of any food she gets. She is naturally suspicious and can be short to the point of curtness, and has excellent reflexes and hunting skill, giving her the suffix -whisker. She is not particularly demonstrative, but can grow to be very attached to others.

Brambleleaf - 9/10
Good name, I see it working well

Fenneltail - 8/10
The only thing I see with this name is that fennel sounds more of a female name to me, but that's just my personal opinion.

Lionheart - 0/10
Sorry, but I had to remove all points because this was a well-known cat in the first series of the books.

Rushwhisker - 9/10
Makes sense, I like it

Rainspark - small black tom with an orange strike on his head. Striking green eyes. Named for the way he moves in battle; he's very swift and strikes fast, and he uses his size to his advantage. He is very strategic, and is well-known for his battle techniques. He is loyal to a fault, where he sees no fault in his own Clan.

Brackenstream - a golden tom with blue eyes and white markings. Strong swimmer and fisher, earning him his name.

Mouseclaw - a smaller brown she-cat with amber eyes. A good fighter in her clan, but she has a loving personality and is very friendly.

rainspark - 6/10 sounds very pretty, but i cant really understand why the clan would use spark? they wouldnt know about a spark of electricity, and a spark of fire might be fast but it dies out pretty quick so i dont really understand the positive connotation with fighting there.
brackentream - 9/10 would be nice to hear a bit more personality but the name fits him well by appearance/skills!!
mouseclaw - 9/10 lovveee mouse as a prefix, especially when it has size connotations as well. would be interesting to hear how she compesates for her small size in battle though since that would probably put her at a disadvantage at first?

Morningfur - Attractive ginger medicine cat with muddy green eyes. Long-pelted and compact build, quite short legs - pretty slow as a result of this! Competent medicine cat, sometimes a little over-confident and relies too strongly on StarClan's interference at times but a quick learner who knows how to use a variety of herbs. Struggles to come up with cures on her own, believing that if StarClan wanted her to use such a cure they would teach her and so struggles to cure less conventional injuries/illnesses.

    Name Rates
Morningfur- 7/10. I like the use of the prefix Morning. It's very uncommon but a nice change from 'Dawn'. The suffix fur is pretty straightforward and being a ginger she-cat with that name, makes me think of a sunset. Overall, I like it :3

    My Cats;
Mistmouse- a tiny, silver and white tabby she-cat with pale blue eyes. She got the prefix Mist for her silvery gray pelt, and the suffix Mouse both for her size and her shy persona. Very sweet, friendly she-cat, but kind of timid.

Clawstreak- massive, thick furred white tomcat with tan tabby markings and green eyes. Evil, bloodthirsty tomcat who wants nothing more than to control the forest. Very smooth and charming. Had a soft spot for his sister, Emeraldheart.

Emeraldheart - a solid, gray she-cat with green eyes. Lithe, beautiful. Very good at hunting. Her mother, Leaftail, was once a kittypet owned by a jewelry store owner, and she always had a fascination with precious gems, which is why she gave her daughter the prefix Emerald. Heart is because she is very kind and loyal to her clan.

Lilydust - a petite, dark brown tabby she-cat with a white muzzle, chest, belly, and paws. Not much of a fighter but she's a great hunter and has superb tracking skills. Mother of Cherrykit, Brackenkit, and Sorrelkit. Given the prefix Lily because her mother lived the name and her grandmother's name was Lilyheart. The suffix Dust came from her coloring.

Littleflame - a small, ginger tabby she-cat with a white muzzle, chest, belly, and paws. She has bright green eyes. Very Feisty and stubborn. She is the daughter of Heatherstar. Given the prefix, Little, due to her size; given the suffix Flame, due to the circumstances of her birth. She was born during a wildfire that wiped out most of hee clan. She and her brother were the only surviving kits.
