xxxxxI actually think that the Seekers Yakone and Bel's Yakone' share a name and thus may share characteristics, but Yakone' is not based off of or inspired by Yakone or Seekers. I believe that the actual native name is what inspired Bel's pup and her name

Ohhhh, okay wait, that could change things.... I never saw that hint and it's not in the charts so I didn't know the context; everyone just kept saying 'Seekers'. :<
does anyone know the page for the actual hint?

I just think the fawn suits Bel Recat better, comet looks too complex for their style and the leaf matches the feather necklace x:
WAIT IS THERE A COMET IN SEEKERS?

Honestly I have no idea, I never read Seekers. But to me it seemed to fit with the whole 'red aurora' thing. Wonder when bel racat will return and choose a list to deny from haha.

and yeah I wanted to guess it for that reason too but I just can't get over how it doesn't line up at all lol :<

Honestly I don't think we should be banking our whole guess on the Seekers books. All I found about a comet in relation to those was http://seekers.wikia.com/wiki/Fire_in_the_Sky the title of one of the books, and apparently they mean the fire in the sky to be the northern lights, which to me leads back to red aurora. As for art styles or previous staff pets.. like one of the staff members (can't remember who) said, they can be useful, but don't get too hung up on them. After all, styles can change, or staff can purposely differ from previous years because they know we'll be looking.

Haha, I didn't mean you were forcing I was just saying I think it seems more fair for us to mix them since we can't all agree ;;
and yeah I never saw the context of that hint, was just going by everyone else seeming to think it was Seeker's related...
I'm not going off just their previous staff pups though, none of their pets have ever been elaborate ;;

see the bear makes me think it is seekers related ;; ughh.
There's also a white bear in Seekers named Comet but idk, seems far-fetched ;;
I still really think the deer pup shouldn't be tossed though ;;
and honestly if it's not the deer pup or any of the other 'maybes' then I would think that would make it clear the Comet dog is an almost definite yes. whereas if we drop a maybe then it's still just a maybe and we won't know...

and also in regards to the Mule deer thing, Mule deer have very long tails which could explain why the dog has a long tail instead of a short one, just a thought though, I really don't know. :<

- Mostly due to the colouring style which many of your pets seem similar
Gradient tone to darker on back, Highlight on nose
- Also partly a silly thought that the items might refer to the pets colours/features, not the god/goddess
Purple Eyes (lightning), Yellow & red gradient (leaves)... That sort of thing

To me the only grown pup that gives me any Pluma vibes at all is still the spotted one with the oak leaf necklace, but if I've got to be honest, I also don't think it should to be nominated for the 5. Why? Because I have a feeling that even if it isn't Pluma's, they still won't choose to deny that one.
It'd be too easy for us that way, haha.
