Really though, I'm 100% deadset on this being his! I've seen Jack's art offsite and first thing I saw this I knew.

It's definitely a monster, and jack is known for making them.

If we were going that route for this pup, I would say it looks more like Hephaestus - God of the forge, smithing, volcanoes etc. - of Greek mythology. c: I think he was said to be disfigured, one side of the face is currently unseen and there are bandages so perhaps one side of it's face will be disfigured or something, or underneath the bandages?
I'm not sure of this, but I would guess that over Thor, personally. o:

The Greek myths and the Homeric poems sanctified in stories that Hephaestus had a special power to produce motion.[15] He made the golden and silver lions and dogs at the entrance of the palace of Alkinoos in such a way that they could bite the invaders.

Broken hearts could easily be how he is married to Aphrodite but she's in love with Ares, or the fact his mother Hera rejected him.

iam confused about the tail, the expretion says its cheeky but tail between legs also means scared with dogs, so i dont know what to think about this pup.

That's for sure! Trying to balance out the difficulty of solving the clue with the specificity of the hint it will give can be a killer - get it wrong and people either can't solve the clue at all or figure it out too quickly and ID your pet immediately off it. That being said, the clues I've put out will precisely identify my pet once it grows if you figure out the references. To make it even easier, all of the conclusions to the clues have actually been posted in this thread! ^^
