The Beta tilt her head and turned her glare on Cinna then back at the Odius healer.After some silence she spoke."Okay. But don't cross that border or I may be in need to chase you out myself.And-"She stopped for a moment."More Odius should be nearby right?There is more that one wolf scent in the air." The pure black female took a sniff."I knew I should send a patrol out."

Maya sat down and in the next moment she let out a strong howl meant to call some wolves here to patrol."Some wolves should be here soon."The she-wolf spoke to herself and stood waiting so she could tell them what to do.

Kell's muscles were stiff and tense when he woke. It was already long past when he should have been up. He stood quickly and stretched in order to force some warmth back into his body and loosen his muscles. He held back a weary sigh as he exited the den and emerged into the sunlit camp. The day promised to be bright and sunny - maybe even warm. His thick pale fur soaked up the meagre warmth that the rays of sun provided, but he still chilled to his bones. He felt slightly groggy, probably due to sleeping so long. Normally he rose long before the rest of his pack mates, but his sleep had been filled with bad dreams lately, and it was clearly taking its toll. His dead mate and pup featured most prominently in all of them, but the ghosts of his family often visited him in his sleep as well. Kell yawned widely, canines flashing in the sun. I ought to be doing something useful, he scolded himself. Noting the small ring of wolves around Sorita, Kell figured he'd let her deal with them before he bothered her. He padded toward them, then sat down a few feet away, straight-backed and attentive while he waited.

Elijah was slavering at the mouth, his eyes trained on the fat, juicy squirrel just a few feet in front of him. He took one step forward, imagining his jaws puncturing its body. He took another, almost tasting the hot red blood he knew lay right beneath its fragile skin. Awoooooooo! A long howl sounded, and the squirrel bounded off, startled. Elijah lunged after it, but it was a futile chase - he soon lost it in the undergrowth. He growled and snapped at the air in frustration, but the irritation was soon forgotten and replaced by curiosity about the summons. He recognised the howl of the beta, Maya, and knew she was calling his pack mates to her. With a final longing look at the place the squirrel had disappeared, he began to lope in the direction of the howl. It wasn't long before he reached his beta. Cinna stood nearby. A foreign reddish-brown wolf was there too, looking abashed. Elijah quickly took his place by Maya's side, his fur almost brushing hers. The strange wolf had the foul stench of an Odious wolf, although she looked harmless enough. Still, looks could be deceiving. The fur on Elijah's back bristled and he bared his teeth slightly. "Who's this craven?" he asked Maya, eyeing the Odious wolf distrustfully.

As he padded around the borders, a commotion arose, perking the King's interest. With narrowed eyes he wove his way to see Teya had crossed the Vigilance border. A soft growl escaped Kodix's maw, as he loomed over the Odious medic. His disapproving gaze didn't speak much, as he dismissed her with a flick of her ears. Watch out Sorita, you've got a storm coming. He thought while smirking gently. He strode into Vigilance territory, passing by Maya carelessly as if she was insignificant. He radiated dominance, despite being in the enemies' camp. Was he too cocky for his own good? Perhaps. His defensive posture wasn't one of aggression, though judging by the way his tail was raised, he was in no mood to be flocked over by a group of Vigilance wolves. With a yawn, a 'pleasant' smile spread across the male's face. "Sorita, dear." He said rather wryly, as if making fun of her mere presence. "I've noticed you don't have any border patrols. Is this your way of surrendering? My, my, you could've just came and said so. Tch." Barking a laugh, he continued on, circling the female. "I'm not here to attack. I'm not that foolish." Ducking his head down by Sorita's shoulder from where she sat, he brushed his dark grey tail under her chin. His expression showed mock sympathy. "Judging by the way you tensed. I had to point it out! I'm sure you and your little friends are curious why I'm here. I'm flattered as always, Sori." Kodix gazed into Sorita's dark brown eyes, sending shivers down her spine. "Now, now, dearie. I'm simply here to warn you. The time is coming, and you know exactly what I mean. War." He breathed. With a simple pause, he began to speak. "Now, unless you surrender. Your pack will be trampled. Including you. You can't run and hide to your mommy, can you now? Though she's dead. Poor Koda." He smirked. I told you you've got a storm coming.

Watching as Kodix strode into camp, she instantly tensed. His confident smirk, his dominant posture. He looked devilishly handsome, but he wasn't here to have friendly conversations. From Sorita's sitting position, she remained defensive in case of attack. She listened to him as he spoke, each word coming out of his muzzle aggravating her. As he made a small show around her, he gazed straight at her. The female shivered, knowing that this wouldn't be good. Nonetheless, she remained quiet. It was rather hard for her; her worst enemy had come trampling into camp as if it meant nothing. As he droned on, she let out a soft growl. The Alpha closed her eyes, taking in a shaky breath. She had to calm down. This is what he wanted. Her paws trembled just the slightest bit, the desire of his blood being spilled. She gazed down at her paws, glaring down at them. Keep calm, Sorita. It'll be fine. The she-wolf was doing well.. Until those very words. 'Now, unless you surrender. Your pack will be trampled. Including you. You can't run and hide to your mommy, can you now? Though she's dead. Poor Koda.' Calling her 'dearie' was one thing. It felt like the world froze, her heart skipped a beat. He was humiliating her. In front of her own pack. Insulting her own mother. Instead of reacting with rage as she thought she would, a strange feeling rippled through her body. She ducked her head down, as visible tremors ran throughout her body. Sorita didn't know what it was, sadness? Anger? Regret? Her expression unreadable, she flicked her ears just the slightest bit as a signal that nobody should attack Kodix.

With a nervous movement of her tail Maya was at Sorita's side and the black she-wolf was ready to jump at Kodix's neck when he spoke about Koda."YOU'RE DEAD!"She yelled , but keep herself just to a strong growl seeing that Sori signaled not to attack the male."You made a mistake coming here and soon you'll regret it.I don't care who you think you are."The Beta stood up and her muscles tensed and she was ready to attack at any other word Kodix would say about Koda.

Zoro scented the air as he looked around. He had arrived at the border and he could already see that wolves were around this area. Suddenly, the scent of the other alpha male had entered his nostrils. No way he had just crossed that border. Roronoa would have him in shreds unless something was going on. Stalking back to camp he saw that Kodix was surrounding Sorita however, she signaled not to attack. A low growl rumbled out of the wolves throat ready to attack if anything were to happen either way.

"Quit it Kodix." He snarled as he heard him talk about Koda.

Kodix smiled devilishly, watching as the Vigilance wolves quickly defended Sorita. "My, my. Rather a defensive bunch are you?" His gaze swept across the small group of Vigilance wolves. "I don't know what you're talking about; I came here to warn your precious Alpha. You can thank me later. I suppose it was ill of me to speak badly about your founder. It slipped my mind. Oops." He shook out his dark grey pelt, as if brushing aside the topic. "It was lovely to see you Sorita, but I must get back to camp. I suppose we'll meet again." The male said, flicking his ears pleasantly. "Though if you have a problem with me strutting into your camp, you might wanna get some border patrols going." Yawning dismissively, he padded out of Vigilance camp. His tail swayed gently, as he felt a surge of pride through him. That went smoother than I suspected. Sorita could've killed me there and now; she's too weak as always. Making his way back to camp, he gazed upon his wolves. The time for war was slowly approaching. I look forward to seeing you on the battle field, Sorita dear.

She let out a breath when Roronoa and Maya came to her - and her mother's - defense. She still remained quiet, it wasn't wise to aggravate Kodix. Her dark brown eyes narrowed as she glared straight into his own pale green eyes. Waiting until he was done making his lovely little speech, Sorita watched as he turned away. Thank goodness. Her distant gaze travelled towards Odious territory, as she murmured softly. "You never had to follow your father's footsteps, you know. You caused this war on yourself." The female said quietly, watching as the wind blew, ruffling her light grey fur. By the way his shoulders stiffened, she could guess that he knew she was right. Stubborn Kodix as always, he refused to acknowledge the truth. "How typical of him." She muttered, to nobody in particular. "I suppose the time for battle is coming soon though.." She murmured, her voice trailing off.

Kell smelled the hostile wolf before he saw him. The powerful odour of the Odious wolves filled his nostrils, making his hackles rise. He stood and glared as the offending wolf entered the camp; it was none other than Kodix himself. Warily, Kell stepped closer to Sorita, instinctively moving to to protect his alpha. He gazed steadily at Kodix as he delivered his spiel. The black wolf was full of arrogance, going so far as to use demeaning pet names for Sorita.

Kell's eyes narrowed at the open threat that Kodix ended on. He looked at Sorita to judge her reaction, and was surprised by how unsure she appeared. Feeling inadequate, he simply glared at Kodix. His packmates had let out angered responses to Kodix's words, but Kell was silent, sizing up the enemy. Everyone knew the story of how the packs had split; he knew Kodix's past, yet he could not predict what he would do.

Luckily, after a few more stinging words, Kodix left. Kell looked to Sorita again. He was confused as to why she hadn't simply allowed her pack to descend on Kodix and end this feud once and for all. Only the alpha knew her own mind, he supposed. He heard her murmured words after Kodix had left. "Only if he continues to insist on it," he said quietly to Sorita. "But I suspect he will not let up until he wins this 'war' or dies," he admitted.

Elijah was stunned as Kodix crossed with border without even looking twice at the Vigilance wolves next to his healer. He was almost as outraged as Maya, who bounded after Kodix, calling out orders as she left. She's leaving me in charge? he thought, bewildered. He looked at Cinna, unsure. He had no clue where his other packmates might be, and he was reluctant to call them here when they might be needed to deal with Kodix. Nevertheless, he let out a long howl, hoping he could rally some wolves to go on patrol with him. With Kodix crossing borders to casually, they needed to make sure no other Odious wolves were sneaking in, otherwise they might have a full scale attack on their paws. "What should we do about this one?" he asked Cinna, nodding at the Odious Healer.

The beta let out an extaused sigh." My god...What is in your mind Sori? Why you didn't let us attack Kodix?" Maya asked with a sign of curiousity in her voice knowing that if Sorita let them attack Kodix would be dead.
