Sacrifices are getting a bit old, but i might be able to take a crack at decoding the letters ;w; Finally, my Gravity falls deciphering comes in handy. ( whats the letters again ;p? )

Most apples are harvested during the fall, and during Halloween candy apples and bobbing for apples is popular. In addition, warm drinks could be referring to apple cider

Teamwork, eh? :) Well, then I will tell you that apart from being the source of the quote you found, Sherlock has nothing to do with the puzzle. It is the meaning of the quote that you may find helpful, not the source it came from. It is certainly possible to think this step through a little more than necessary. c; Consider how the quote might function in helping you locate what is important.
Something else I posted yesterday can give you a hand with this.

Schuyler mentioned that in Sherlock even the most random details matter. There were a few things that Schuyler said that are seemingly random but since seeing that quote, I think that may be useful.
No, I think their dog being a "detective" is too obvious and kind of boring.
You gotta spend more time on these things guys XD

However, throw in some strawberry ice cream with hot fudge and rainbow sprinkles and I might be persuaded to offer a little tip with solving my puzzle ... Won't be huge, but could still help to point you in more of the right direction to get to the next bit.

xxxxx@Mooshidog some of the staff know some of the pups' appearances and their owner, but I don't believe that each staff member knows all of the entire litter and their respective artists
