"The" Rares List Guide - Do not ask about new UR's!

I would appreciate a more extensive list of rarities. Such as the October 08 pets that aren't very rares, to me it seems like people hardly value them as rare 08's. And along with that, different year pet comparisons. Dragons for example, they are worth September 08's. What about very rare 09's like grinners and the VR PPS pups and the woodwinged dog? I feel like since they are worth more, and well sought after, that they should be listed as well.

Actually quite a lot of them are on there. I'm in the process of making a list that goes a bit further with HLP but since I have exams no headway has been made on it. I need to PM her again.

Oh yeah, suggestion:

Please add to the first page a description about what this thread is about,
and what it is not about.

Like, there already are two Worth/FairTrade threads to go spam up with questions about
what a pet is worth and what it is a fair trade for. This thread is not meant to be
used for that, just discussion and figuring out what pet is currently on what spot
in the value/rarity list. Right?

I get a little peeved every time someone busts in with a very badly disguised WHAT
CAN I GET FOR THIS PET? or IS THIS FAIR? question, when obviously there are already
threads for that.

Yes, this is really not the place to be asking specific questions like that. I would ask that people please go to one of the threads I linked at the top of the first post, or even PM me with their questions if necessary.

Another reason I was asking about moving the Purple Toxic down is that I'm not sure how much of a difference there is between how people value it and the Blue Tox?

And next I was planning on looking at the PPSes we don't have on the main list that Komi brought up a little while ago. i.e. these: Target PPS, Scarf PPS, Wolf PPS, Devil/Blood PPS, Blue Dragon PPS. They should go somewhere around the Rose PPS/Dark Pink Shima level, but in what order exactly I'm not sure.

I'm also thinking about adding the pets that are not Septembers but equivalent in value to the September list. Really, once we get into adding all these extras there won't be much of a gap between the Septembers and the main list...but combining the two would make for an awfully long list. >>

I agree with adding the September-valued pets, as it would make sense and help people since they're somewhat valuable.

I'm not sure but I think that maybe the blue should be right below the purple?
I think some people consider them as a fair swap. And that's how I swapped twice.
Maybe the purple is the rarest, but blue is the most popular imo.

Yeah a little more attention is cool. At least then you can headsmack people for
not reading the first post if they come asking about trades here.


As for the toxics... I'd say I'm gonna agree with Libertas here. The Blue toxic is the most
popular one, hands down. I mean, more people own yellow and green, but that's just because they
are so much easier to get hold of. Most people I know who have been at some point searching
for a blue toxic have either a) never found one b) paid themselves sick for one.
I've seen the purple-for-blue happen as well, heck, I saw someone pay a BE for a blue once
just like that. And I'm fairly certain that no one would trade their blue tox for a yellow/pink sorbet.
So I'm a little torn on the subject to be honest. Perhaps time and demand has made the blue
toxic equal to the rarity of the purple...


Target PPS and Blue Dragon PPS would definitely be worth the most out of those - I think the dragon
is worth a rose PPS these days, and the target PPS is right below the rose PPS.
The wolf PPS I've traded once for a cakedog and once for a adult Red X, so it is pretty sought
after.
The Devil PPS seems like it would be around the common end of the septembers, at least
that's what I've gotten for mine/seen others go for.
Scarf PPS I have no idea about because I actually don't think I've ever seen a trade
containing one. It has always seemed very unpopular to me.


And yeah I agree that the septembers list should be built on. I mean, it could be called a 'secondary rares list'
or something. As long as it is made clear that most of the pets aren't a direct follow up of
the main list, it should be totally cool. This thread gets a lot of questions about
dragons, at least what I've seen, so adding those would be a bonus.

I have no idea what you're trying to say.
I believe the non-jewel is higher because of demand. The sundogs are in general high demand pets. There's only about a September difference between them though so it's not huge.

Whoops, sorry o.O I was thinking she was talking about the SunJewel, I'm not having the best thinking time this morning; a half all-nighter was not a good idea. Yes, just because their names are similar does not mean their value is similar at all.
