Zaid nodded and bolted the door. Then he went to the bathroom to take a long shower.

Xaria lay on the bed, attempting to sleep by every minuscule movement she made created a bolt of pain that shot through her body. Sometimes it hurt so much a tear fell from her eye and it was quickly brushed away.

Zaid got out of the shower and lay beside Xaria facing the other way. He fell into a very light sleep and stayed that way for most of the night.

Xaria woke up again, her arm causing her pain. She sighed, shutting her eyes and trying to fall back to sleep. She finally did, unconsciously moving closer to Zaid, the body heat making her feel better.

Zaid stayed in a light sleep still waking up to almost all little noises from other rooms. He was still in attack mode though, he didn't want to be, all Zaid wanted was to sleep.

Xaria whimpered lightly, sitting up in the bed. She couldn't sleep anymore so just sat there, watching the world outside the window with a sigh.

Zaid groggily checked the clock on the bedside table. It read 3:48 a.m. He noticed that Xaria was at the window and sat up a bit on his pillow. "What's up?" he asked her quietly.

Xaria was lost and his words pulled her back to reality. She jumped slightly, turning back to him with wide eyes and a fast heart rate. "Nothing. I just can't sleep without it hurting." She explained quietly. She smiled at him. "Go back to sleep."

Zaid tried to smile back but looked down instead running his hand through his hair. Now that he was awake, it was likely that he wouldn't be able to fall back asleep for awhile so, he decided to get up. He sat on the edge of his bed eying the booklet on the bedside table. He had never noticed it before. Zaid picked it up and flipped through a few pages until he came to the room service page. It read '24\7 room service at your service!'. Zaid smirked at the attempted joke. Then again maybe it wasn't funny because it was four o'clock in the morning. "Are you hungry?" Zaid asked Xaria with a shy grin.

Xaria nodded sheepishly. "I never got my dinner." She said, returning his shy grin. She stood up, going over to sit next to him on the bed. She reached over, switching on the lamp and blinking in the new light. "I don't think they'll be very happy though..." She said, giggling slightly.
