Staff Litter Discussion Thread

I usually like feathers/animals. My staff pet Babu is a good example. He has elements of a Raccoon (eyes and feet), peacock (feather on his back), and hawk (feathers floating around).

I will confirm I tend to follow similar themes, however if you look at my past years staff pets, you'll notice they are nothing alike. Both were inspired by two different things, much like this years was inspired by something a little bit different.However, I will say, Yakone' is similar-ish to one of them.

There are a bunch of us updating the hints chart right now with all of the items! We're still trying to gather all of the items together at the moment, but after we've done that, it should (hopefully) be easier to work out their significance.

@the guys updating the hints cheat: the version of the masterlist you're working from is not the most recent! i'm now putting everything directly onto my spreadsheet, which doesn't have sources, but has all the items found and posted here so far.

The staff, along with the usual hidden hints and denials that they give out, organized this network of items that (I believe) were already in gameplay that link to tags that say "If lost, please return to (Insert staff name here). The story is that these are the items that their staff pet dropped, and I think they're supposed to be clues to understand what the pets are going to look like.

In regard to Swiftalu's anagram: Can we possibly have a confirmation about a) the simplicity the pup could have or b) if this is a troll message? I think that would be nice, but a sacrifice is always a good answer without a response.

just thought i'd share something with you. last year, this was ethulai's pet. i asked them what it's based off of, and they said it was a bunyip, an amphibious monster. since cryptozoology was one of the 'hints' on the spreadsheet, i'm going to take a guess that ehulai's staffie is going to be a monster of some sort, probably one that isn't too well known like this one.

Going off of Berkshire's pupper's lost items, I'd guess that the puppy is gonna be a pps that can't decide what he or she wants to be after graduation
