She opened her mouth, about to reply to the medic when commotion arose among camp. Her ears flicked apologetically as Akasha burst into camp clearing. It took her a second to register everything, as the dreaded scent of dog drifted around her. Her muscles rippling underneath her sleek pelt, she sprang in front of the dog looming near camp. Her fur bristled as she glared straight into it's dark, beady eyes, not at all thinking before springing into action. Quickly springing off her hind legs, she propelled herself towards the dog, sinking sharp teeth and claws into it's broad shoulders. As the female clung on tightly, she flung her weight to the side attempting to drag the dog down with her. It didn't succeed, her claws scraping down it's side, cutting the fresh wound on it's shoulder open even wider. As the dog bayed, she leaped off it, landing on her paws at an awkward angle. The creature looking even madder than before, it charged at Akasha, as she quickly dropped and rolled to the side. All these years of battling and getting into scraps with others seemingly payed off. Her paw stung at the rough landing, her fur matted in blood. She didn't know whose it was, hers or the dogs. Her heart pounded, adrenaline taking over her body. Ears flattened, she stared at the dog in a challenging way.

Spruceleaf quickly looked down at the kits, "Kits, go! Get in the nursery, NOW!" she yowled, beckoning the 3 kits to the den with her tail. Panic and fear clouded her green eyes eyes as she attempted to get the kits to safety.

Sunpaw froze, suddenly picking up the scent of dog and the fear of his Clanmates nearby. His ears flattened, he knew something wasn't right, "I smell dog..." Sunpaw muttered to Mudcoat, "We should get back to camp, now..."

flamestar sprang after akasha, bolting toward the scent of dog. he stopped near the river, his eyes settling on bounceflame. "bounceflame!" the clan leader side stepped as the dog now noticed two pieces of prey. "come on, fleabrain!" the flame colored tom challenged, bristling his tail as flamestar thought about how to save bounceflame.

bounceflame let out a sigh of relief as he struggled to stand and leap back on the dog to help akasha. but his leg collapsed beneath him and he fell face first into the mud. "flamestar, my leg!" he exclaimed.

flamestar side stepped again from the dog's gnashing teeth, his fangs brushing the tom's side. he then hurtled himself towards bounceflame. "it's okay.." the tom murmured as he helped bounceflame to his paws. flamestar yowled to akasha, "make sure that thing doesn't get to camp. i'm going to get more warriors."

poppyfire followed flamestar to the dog. She flatten her ears watching flamerstar attack the dog "flamstar be careful!" she yelled with fear in her eyes."No! She can't hold it off by herself! I'll take bounceflame to beetlefur and get as many warriors as possible."
