Maplepaw was eating a small shrew. Her tail flicking in annoyance. Elders!

she strutted over to the fresh-kill pile confidently, briefly acknowledging maplepaw by giving her a curt nod. her cold gaze could almost pierce some cats soul. berrypaw settled down next to a warm rock, tucking her paws underneath her as she scanned the camp clearing, flicking her tail.

[Vylad]

Maplepaw looked at Berrypaw. "Um.. Hi?"

berrypaw furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. "umm, hi? i guess..." she trailed off as she rose to her paws, about to choose a finch when she noticed maplepaw enjoying a small shrew. she sat down next to her fellow apprentice and curled her tail around her paws neatly, "do you want to share that with me...? or should i just get my own prey...? i'm fine with whatever." she shrugged.

[Vylad]

"Here. You can have the rest." Maplepaw said nudging the remains over to Berrypaw. "Arin't you Silvermoon's kit?" She asked.

berrypaw was overjoyed as maplepaw pushed the shrew over to her. "why thank you, maplepaw." she murmured, taking a small bite out of the shrew and savoring the delicious taste. she realized maplepaw asked her a question and snapped back into reality. "oh- um... silvermoon?" berrypaw asked, blinking in confusion. "don't you mean silver... sun?" she asked awkwardly. she hated correcting others and felt it was rude behavior but she had to correct someone if they mistake her own mother's name.

[Vylad]

Maplepaw twitched an ear. "Sorry. I met a cat named Silver and another named Moon. When I was a loner. I guess I made a mistake. So. How do you feel about Silversun being your mother?" Maplepaw asked.

berrypaw shrugged, "just the same as any cat feels about their mother." the she-cat lied, swallowing a bite of the prey. she hoped maplepaw wouldn't be unconvinced by her reply. after all- berrypaw wasn't the greatest liar and you could almost always tell if she was fibbing.

Pinepaw yawned as he awoke in the apprentice den, shooting up in his nest excitedly and looking around for Thunderpaw. "Thunderpaw?" he called for her but the den was pitch dark and he couldn't make out her silhouette, let alone her scent. I wonder where she may be?
