Caedyn is a man- well, more like a boy- of few words, and that’s probably the trait that’s fastest recognized when it comes to him. He honestly tries very hard to start conversations and be talkative and friendly, but he’s always been very shy, and therefore has a hard time being more than the quiet kid in the background. Of course, that’s not to say he isn’t seen! Between his fashion and hardcore dedication, Caedyn is pretty hard to miss. Once he’s set his mind to something, there's little chance he’ll just forget about it. This is regarding projects mostly; He’s extremely focused and can finish things pretty quickly. It’s important to note that his dedication doesn’t automatically equal stubbornness; While sometimes he might refuse to go to bed for the sake of finishing a project, he’ll typically listen to a good argument and change his mind if he’s properly persuaded.

Perhaps a little naive in this, Caedyn is pretty trusting of people. He tends to see the good in a person, and he refuses to believe that there’s actually anyone that’s truly, 100% evil. So, if someone’s kind to him, it’s likely he’ll trust them first and ask questions later. If they turn out to be not so great a person- he’ll probably find himself very upset, and continue to stop talking to them, unless he seriously feels that a little coaxing might bring out the better in them. But, he’s not really one for socializing as pointed out previously, and he’s not really for fixing everyone and trying to perfect the world. He’d rather lock himself in a room and practice his magic.





One of the most dominant traits in Caedyn is how emotional he is. If he’s sad, he’ll cry. If he’s mad, he’ll cry. If he’s super happy, he’ll cry. Or, maybe it’d be better to say that he tears up, instead of full blown crying. He always gets over it within a couple minutes though (unless, of course, someone really does upset him, in which case it can be expected that he’ll be hiccuping and have a runny nose and all around be sobbing). Another one of his most dominant traits would have to be his creativity. He knows how to get a little creative to solve a problem, and he certainly comes up with a lot of ideas. While sometimes he likes to put his creativity into drawing, he more often decides that he’ll use inventiveness into his magic.

Overall, Caedyn is a smol nervous cet a quiet doll that can be overlooked if someone isn’t particularly paying attention. His dedication and creativity bring him back though, making his noticeability subtle but certain. Once seen, it’s hard to look passed him. He’s a sweet guy only looking for a peaceful life full of soft music and harmless amusement.

ｗｈｙ ｉｓ ｈｅ ｃｒｙｉｎｇ？

Pale smoke rose from a single vial; A couple surrounding containers half filled with glittering, colorful liquids began to smoke as well in reaction to the chemicals in the air. Caedyn only stared, wide eyed, at the table in front of him. He couldn’t see through the smog. He raised an arm, wiping the tears from his eyes. They burned, but he couldn’t bother to shut them until he knew. This wasn’t really his type of magic- he wasn’t one for this chemistry sort of thing, and it was certainly hard. He’d been trying for weeks to master a single spell, if it could be called that; It was more of a concoction. He’d already failed multiple times, but of all his attempts, this one had the biggest results. It’d blown up in his face. Whether this was good or not, he didn’t know.

His pulse was going mad. He felt like he could hear his heartbeat. He bit down on his bottom lip, squinting as the smoke began to clear. His hand clamped over his mouth as he gasped.

He’d done it.

Caedyn threw an arm into the air, momentarily celebrating before choking on the air. A smile cracked as he finally caught his breath and glanced back down at the table. A small creature sat there, looking up with him. It looked like a loaf of bread with a face and floppy ears. It was a tiny rabbit, with a soft orange and white piebald coat. His familiar... He wasn’t sure what to name it, but settled on Peach as a placeholder- unless he never found a better fitting name.

He reached to wipe the tears from his eyes again. He wasn’t sure if he was crying because the smoke was burning his eyes, or because he was so happy, or because of his somewhat painful coughing fit. It didn’t really matter. He’d made a new friend- literally.

Sometimes, not even Caedyn really knows what he’s doing. He likes to use wands and staffs to cast spells, mostly along the lines of transformations and creations. He’s dabbled in chemistry, but he isn’t particularly fond of it. He’s also looked a little into the dark arts, and even bothered to attempt voodoo once- let’s just say it ended poorly and he felt really bad about it.

As friendly as Caedyn is, he isn’t outgoing enough to have a whole lot of close friends. Most everyone he meets he’ll soon enough consider a friend of sorts, but his relationships rarely get very deep. On the other end of things, he really has no enemies. Even if he hated someone with all his heart, he still wouldn’t consider them an enemy. That’s a strong word, after all.

Serena || Strangers || Rainichi

There’s not much to say about this relationship- these two haven’t even passed on the street. Caedyn has read bits and pieces of her blog, though he doesn’t know who the author is. He’s also seen her in a couple of magazines, but never gave her more than a second glance.

Jayde || Strangers || puddssoul

In all honesty, Caedyn goes very out of his way to avoid Jayde. It’s not that he doesn’t like her- how could he? He doesn’t know her. It’s just that she looks intimidating, and therefore he’s sort of afraid to speak to her. She has caught his interested though- the snakes make him especially curious.

Zephyr || Friendly Acquaintances || puddssoul

Caedyn would be lying if he said that he wasn’t initially terrified of Zephyr- actually, he’s still kind of scared of him. But while Zephyr’s outer appearance is somewhat frightening, it didn’t take long for Caedyn to realize that Zephyr isn’t a bad guy; And not to mention that they share a common interest: magic. The two tried to practice together once, but they use two separate types of magic, and so it didn’t go too greatly. Besides this, they haven’t done much together, as both dolls are pretty quiet.

Chris || Friendly Acquaintances || Rainichi

Once, when they were walking in opposite directions, their shoulders bumped each other. Chris immediately turned around and began say sorry when he noticed Caedyn was crying. Before anything could be said, Chris assumed that he’d made Caedyn cry and he so quickly set to rapidly apologizing that, till this day, he swears he almost injured himself. The misunderstanding was cleared up as soon as Chris took a breath (apparently Caedyn had just thought about some cute lady he knew), and it left him feeling more awkward than what he’d previously imagined possible. From there, Caedyn was the one apologizing for making Chris worry- after this, they each nervously laughed it off and continued on their way. Both of them being so awkward, they probably nearly created a black hole. Not long after this, it was discovered that Chris’ friend Kit is friends with Caedyn, so they get to hang out a little sometimes.

Penelope || Friends || Rainichi

Penelope and Caedyn have a silently understanding relationship. They met each other in a plant shop, and were somewhat surprised to find that they were reaching for the same flower- Penelope just thought it was pretty, while Caedyn needed it for his magic, so after a quick discussion, Caedyn is the one who took it home. Before heading back to his house though, he and Penelope got a quick sip of tea together. They didn’t talk much, but the time together was still enjoyable. Since then, any time Penelope happens to be in town, they’ll meet up for a drink.

Maribelle || Friends || puddssoul

Caedyn doesn’t really take care of himself very well, and this is where Marie comes in. She enjoys taking care of other dolls, so these two fit together like puzzle pieces. They’re not constantly hanging out or anything, but they’re certainly around each other enough to consider one another friends. One thing’s for certain though- Marie’s probably scolding Caedyn for his poor eating habits anytime they meet.

Caedyn and Kit are both cats, and you know what cats hate? Each other. But really, while Kit acts like he doesn’t like Caedyn all that much, the two get along pretty well. Kit does a lot of complaining while Caedyn listens- admittedly he never has any idea what the heck Kit’s talking about. Kit still sort of thinks Caedyn might be some weird D&D player- it doesn’t help that anytime Caedyn tries to show Kit his magic, it doesn’t work. The two sometimes pick on Chris, but in all reality Kit’s picking on Chris while Caedyn awkwardly stands in the background and pretends he’s actually a part of the conversation

Seeing as how she’s a wizard’s staff, it should come as no surprise that Star is pretty magical. She can’t speak directly- or if she can, she doesn’t- but she’s found her own way. It’s not really anything particularly special; Star simply writes. She doesn’t have hands, obviously, but with her magic she doesn’t need them. If there’s paper and some sort of writing utensil around, that’ll do, but if there’s nothing around then she’ll write in the air with smoke- which is very messy and barely legible. It does, however, look pretty cool.

Starlet is totally serene. That’s actually most of what can be said about her; She, like her doll, isn’t very talkative, and as she’s a literal object, it’s hard for her to show a proper personality. Through her text though, it can be said that she’s very calm and inquisitive. She likes to ask questions and be certain of things before continuing. She tends to check in on Caedyn and make sure he’s doing fine, or at least not doing anything too stupid. Of the pair, she definitely knows more of how to control magic and such. She’s pretty intelligent for a staff.
