The commotion just by the pack borders instantly sparked a reaction from the male. His ears flattened as he felt a rush of annoyance. More problems he had to deal with; he was getting his hopes up too high by having a relaxing morning. Instead of rushing in to stop the problem, he remained planted where he was, listening and watching for a bit. Grimsley, his trusted Beta, had rushed in, greeting Ghost and what seemed like a pup. Kodix's ears twitched, taking in bits of the conversation. From what he could tell, Ghost was favouring the pup, Grimsley, not quite. A quiet, long suffering sigh escaping out of his muzzle, he stood up. His pale green eyes studying the situation for a few moments, he watched as Xena joined the small conflict between his packmates. I should kill the pup right here and now, He thought bluntly. A runt like that isn't worth it. His hackles stood on their ends, bristling in displeasure. Instantly he calmed down, regaining his composure. Lifting his chin up, he raised his tail, stalking towards the group. The male walked with pride and dominance, practically radiating off his body. His stance was not one in aggression, but one in defensiveness and dominance. He had to make sure that he was the one in charge, and everyone else would understand it. His packmates would not take his orders hastily. Hearing Xena's comment about the pup, he butted in the conservation. "I could ask the same thing." The male said coldly. His fierce glare remained on the two females. "What is going on?" He demanded. He was the Alpha, the King, of this pack, and he made it clear that there'd better be a good reason. Or the two females would know what would happen to the useless pup at their paws. He remained quiet, waiting for either one to speak. He flexed his claws in warning towards the pup, a low rumble in his throat.

Swallowing the piece of rabbit, she lifting her head to meet Vigilance's medic, Cinna. By the scents of it, the female had been re-stocking herbs, due to the scent that clung on her reddish pelt. Her calm gaze remained on the opposing she-wolf, dipping her head in greeting. She knew she'd made the right choice in appointing her as the medic, she had the talent and compassion for herbs. Raising her head, Sorita's dark brown eyes met those of Cinna's. Her ears flicked in signal that the female could approach her not at a submissive level. "No need for formalities," Sorita let out a soft chuckle before continuing. "Sorita or Sora is fine, if you may." She said quietly. Heaving herself into a sitting position, her tail motioned Cinna to sit. The rabbit planted between her paws, she gave a small, polite smile back, eager not to come off as aggressive. "Thank you for asking, I had a rather good sleep. I trust your day is going well so far?" She said, allowing the medic to express herself freely. She awaited the female's response.

dragon, having been awake for around an hour, sat quietly observing the serene nature around her and watching over her sleeping pack mates. since she was omega, the female wasn't provided with a den. instead, a shallow hole in the dirt a little ways away from the others. she didn't mind much. her dark optics followed the brute as he did his ritual, the same one he did every morning. she shook her head and scoffed.

everyone has a rope, in xena's eye. they got a new one everyday. overtime throughout the day something irked them, the rope would grow tighter and tighter. this she-wolf's rope usually snapped quite early. this morning, it was especially early. her rope was tugged and tugged, pulled taut by this little innocent pup. when he poked her now twice, the rope snapped. lena's eyes set aflame, she leaned her head down nice and close to the little one. "don't touch me again, you flea-bitten mutt," xena whispered through her teeth in a harsh and husky tone.

"Of course, Grimsley. I am more than capable." Ghost replied at her beta's order. She watched him walk off, intrigued as he paused once more, then turned back to the pup. "I'm going to pick you up, okay? Dont panic little one." She moved to grab the pup by the scruff if its neck but paused as she heard another wolf approach. "Xena. I see you've noticed our little problem." Ghost smiled coldly at the fae as she saw the fire in her eyes. "I am to take the pup to Kodix, Grimsley's orders. You may join me if you wish." Ghost turned to look at Kodix and was surprised to see him coming over.
"Kodix." Ghost greeted, bowing her head for the second time that day. "I found the pup as I awoke, he was howling as I'm sure you heard. I was about to bring him to you, as Grimsley has gone to investigate where the pup has appeared from." She stepped closer to the pup subconciously.

Nix whipped his head around as he heard another wolf scoff. "Dragon!" He yipped, rolling onto his belly and standing up on wobbly paws. His forehead was rather sore, though he supposed it wasnt unusual for ones head to hurt after running into a tree. "Good morning! Did you sleep well?" He inquired, trotting over to his packmate, his tail wagging furiously.

her eyes followed his awkward, lanky actions. it was unbelievable that they would allow such an.. odd, wold into the pack. she fell back upon her haunches as the brute happily trotted over. his peppiness disgusted her. "do i ever sleep well?" she thought aloud sarcastically. dragon didn't bother asking how nix slept, because it meant nothing to her. in reality the female was rather boring to talk to. she rarely made effort to keep the conversation alive.

the female then stood up tall, her body still stiff from the rage that the ignorant pup had planted in her. her gaze shifted over to her alpha, who had now joined the group. "nice of you to show up, kodix," she mumbled sassily, just loud enough for him to hear. "can we just kill this runt and go on with our day?" xena asked, seemingly growing bored with this whole situation.

Hearing the female answer, he paused for a few moments, assessing her response. The dark grey male's ears twitched, glaring down at the pup. Watching the pup prance about, Kodix snorted. If they were to keep the pup, it would take a lot of training to teach Kesi how to behave properly and Odious ways. Perhaps it wasn't worth the blood, sweat and effort, seeing that the pup seemingly continued to provoke superiors. They needed more members; most wolves appealed to the 'good' pack full of pathetic mutts, Vigilance. Personally, he took that as weakness, cowering away from fighting. Sure, you could be peaceful and talk your way out of a situation, but that's just working your way out of the real problems. You needed to get out there and fight. His train of thought being broken by Xena, instantly his head whipped towards her. His eyes narrowed, a low warning growl forming in his throat. Tensions were high. The glare from his pale green eyes seemed to say 'Remember who gave you this rank and took you in. It can be taken away as easily as that, and you can go crawling towards the pathetic Vigilance for all I care.' He averted his attention from Xena; if she dared made any more comments, ignorance would be enough. Even though he itched to kill the runt himself, and innerly agreed with the Delta, he was smart enough to know the benefits.. And the downfalls. He would keep this short and blunt. "Are you proposing we.." Kodix started, giving a look of pure disgust towards the pup. "Raise this.. thing, in Odious?" He said impatiently. His temper was growing short. "Personally, I think that this scrawny mutt is not worth it. I need good reasons as to keep this thing, otherwise you'll have a small river of blood running at your paws."

Kesi
The pup seemed uneased at the sight of the king. He radiated so much power; it really was unnerving. The boring wolves were afraid of him.. well, most of then. The fae who had most recently joined the group seemed like she thought she could somehow be above that authority; but Kesi wasn't sure. He decided not to sniff this new brute, to be on the safe side. He watched as the adults talked, seeming to be angry. He was confused. They should be happy. After all, surely his parents were on the way. Kesi yawned and fell asleep in the grass, unaware that this conversation decided his life.

We could even use him to spy on Vigilance when he's older, he'd be small enough." She pointed out. Ghost looked at her king stubbornly. "It would be a waste to remove such a good opportunity." She nudged the pup with her paw. "He's not that scrawny either. Look, I can look after him if I must."

Nix was taken aback. "I don't know. Do you? Should I know the answer to this?" He paused in front of the fae and his tail slowed. "I'm confused." He admitted sadly and sat down. He tilted his head to the side with confusion and smiled sheepishly. "Why sit all the way over here when you can come and talk with the rest of the pack? Surely it's lonely here."

it took all dragon had not to roll her eyes. she didn't hate this brute. in a way, his ignorance was amusing. it was the innocent kind. "being alone isn't so bad. if you'd like, go talk to them. our alpha's right over there," she nodded her head in the direction of sorita and cinna.

xena scoffed as ghost suggested that this runt could possibly live up to the pack's expectations. still, she remained quiet. all in all this situation didn't matter much to her. as much as she wanted to kill the little thing, it wasn't her place. she lashed her tail to the side, irked by the fact that the alpha was even considering keeping it alive. her gaze drifted over to the pup momentarily.

Tigan
The white wolf stood up in his den, feeling drowsy. The sun was bright in his eyes; he didn't like that. The Delta was looking for someone to talk to, although, to his disappointment, there was no one around. Tigan was feeling desperate for something to do. He hated sitting in one place for long.

Teya
The healer yawned. No one to heal today. She curled up, wrapping her tail around herself. Being a medic was simple, it was rare for someone to get hurt. Occasionally someone would fall out of a tree or sprain an ankle during hunting, but that was it. It was kind of boring sometimes, but also fun. She could relax and do what made her happy.. as long as she didn't get in the way of Kodix. In a comfortable position, she fell asleep.
