"I dont mind talking about it. It just only happened three times." Alexa said. She went back to her waling around the room.

"Course I am" Conner said with a smile leaning back against the couch cushions his arms drapped over the back on each side.

"Well, first was Seth. He was the first human I trusted after I changed. Then he realized what I was and started hunting me down, I left." Alexa said. "That was about 30 years ago. he was nineteen then. he's probably still hunting me." She said. "Then there was Alyce. She was my best friend, then she found out hat I was. She was cool with it, but I didnt want the same thing happening as with Seth." She said. "That was 25 years ago." She added. "Then the last was Milo. I got to know him, but I left before he could know me. I didnt want to kill him, and I didnt want to destroy his life." She said. "That was 3 years ago." She said. Alexa sat on the couch next to him and brought her legs up.

Conner started draping his arm over her shoulder and squeezing it gently "It's not bad to let people into your life, and that Seth guy, he's got some nerve doing that to you, if I ever see him.." Conner looked angry, but he calmed himself down an looked at her with a smile "It was strong of you, to leave them like that, it makes you strong" he said simply

"maybe, but it show I get attached to my food source. What if I get so attached, then I kill them. I'll hate myself for the rest of my life." Alexa said quietly.

"So you don't put yourself in that situation" Conner said softly "And you'll learn, you can become strong enough that the thought won't even cross your mind, blood shmud" he said with a smile
