The Gardening Club wants to invite you on a trip to the botanical garden. Anyone can join. Permission forms are available in front of room 120. A quick meeting will be held next Thursday in room 120 for more information and to collect forms/money during the first half of lunch.

The Masquerade Ball tickets will be on sale for the rest of the week during the lunch period.

Jessie would consider her life to be
pretty mundane. With overprotective
parents when she was little, she was
a little sheltered as a child. Luckily,
they began to loosen up when she
grew up, but are still fairly protective
while letting her have more freedom.
Jessie's favourite memories from her
childhood are the family's annual trips to
places around the world. Those trips are
what ignites her passion for photography.


Jessie is a quiet and introverted girl. She
is the type that observes first before
jumping into any situation. She blends
into the crowd easily, but her clumsy
nature sometimes averts that. She
seems a little distant and closed off at
times, but she does try to be kind to
everyone. Her tendency to overthink
cause her to be indecisive. She is fairly
intuitive, but her self-consciousness make
it hard for her to trust her gut. She
prefers to hold back on certain things,
but if she sees something she strongly
disagrees with she is not afraid to speak
out. She likes to know other people's
business but likes to keep her own
business private. She doesn't mean to
be nosy most of the time; she just is a
naturally curious person.

are not up to her standards. She is very

know-it-all. She loves being the center
of attention and often starts drama just to
be there. One of her favorite past-times is
to gossip, though, of course, no one can say
anything about her. Despite her cold and
standoffish front, there is a secret side to
Skylar only her close friends see. She is
actually quite insecure due to her parent’s
expectations of her. She feels as if she
needs to cover this with an air of confidence
as her parents make success seems so easy.
She is always jealous of others who live life
so carefree. Deep down she just wishes she
could just be a teenager and enjoy high school.

Michael’s family life was fairly normal until his parents started arguing. Since it began when
he was a child, he can never remember what started it all. His parents eventually got divorced
due to this and his mother gave custody to his father. His father was emotionally and financially
troubled by this, which led Michael to be the one that took over the parent role and took care
of his siblings. Eventually, his father was able to get everything together as he become bigger
in his career as a lawyer, which let Michael have more freedom. Now his family is fairly
stable with the occasionally up and downs.

Michael is a rebel. He often doesn’t listen to other people and does what he wants to do.
Even if he does listen, he still does his own things. This gets him in often gets him in trouble,
in which he tries to charm his way out of trouble, which actually works sometimes. He is
quite mischievous as he loves playing pranks on other people and messing with people. He
appears to be quite self-absorbed and acts like he doesn't care about anyone’s feelings.
The one other thing he seems to love just as much as he loves himself is girls. He is quite
a flirt but usually is not serious about it. However, he does actually have a sensitivity to
him the people he cares about, especially his family. He has trouble dealing with
emotions due to his parent’s divorce since he had to put up a strong façade for his siblings
and he acts the way he does since he did not have much of his childhood at home. It may
take some time to see this part of him since he rarely shows this side of himself even to his
family.

glamorous even. In some ways, it is. But it's stressful, and demanding, and it
can be tough to know who to trust when in line to inherit a massive business.
But it's that weakness that Clayton can't stand anyone seeing. In any case, he
has a sterotypical expectation to uphold: to be a pretty boy bully. He doesn't
have to be nice, and it keeps away the smoochers. He has a free pass, never
gets in trouble for it, and his future is set in stone for him. Who cares if he
makes high school connections? So, he's going to do what he wants, when he
wants, and it'll take a lot to move him otherwise. But really, while he may act
cold, the people close to him mean more than anything. He loves his parents,
despite their absence, and he would be lost without Skylar and Tam. Still, he
doesn't feel the need to attempt any further relations. His dating history has
been full of attention seekers and impatience with his distance, the same to
be said of many failed friendships. Discouraged, he lacks the motivation to be
friendly, which only adds to his spiteful behavior, and frankly, he doesn't care.

More than anything, Nathaniel cares a lot about the people who're in his life.

Instead of putting his phone back in his pocket, where he'd have to lean over again and she seemed a little uncomfortable by that, he simply held on to it. He'd slip it back in once he was on the ground. It was right after that decision that her phone rang. The timing of her phone going off was wonderful, he thought. A few seconds earlier and he would have still been holding it, and would have probably just dropped it in panic if it rang. That would be both embarrassing and entirely unhelpful. He nodded in understanding and then looked off to the other side, studying the park as if to give her privacy during her conversation. However difficult a task that was as he sat right next to her. He hears the panicked voice of an older female, presumably her mother, and wonders if he's a little to blame for how late Jessie stayed out. He bit his lip at the thought. He looks back at her when she hangs up and checks his own phone for the time. Not much later than he usually was to get home, he supposed, so he wouldn't be in much trouble. Tamerlane might want some food, though. "Yeah, me too. I think I forgot to feed my dog," he winced. Poor boy. Clayton inches forward a little bit before dropping down, landing in a very slight crouch. He straightens and slings his bag over his right shoulder, turning towards Jessie again to make sure she got down all right.

Jessie nods with a slight frown as he mentions forgetting to feed his dog. She felt kind of bad for distracting him for that. Although, he did the same thing to her from keeping her out late. "At school, I mean." she says, glancing at the same beneath her. After she look at him once last time, she turns to walk home. She glance back over her shoulder once to wave goodbye to him. It's been an eventful night.

He was a second away from jerking forward to steady her, but she did so on her own and so he remained still. It was mildly alarming, he found, how instinctual it was to keep her from even a small stumble. He ignores it and smiles back a little. Even in the silence following, he waits for her to talk first again. When she does, his smirk is stronger than his smile and he nods. "Yeah," he agreed. "I'll see you at school." At school, he thought as he watched her walk away. What would people at school think if they saw them hanging out, or even just talking? Other than him hurling insults and her sassing back, they would never interact naturally. He waved, too, when she glanced back, pressing his lips together in a tight grin. So what should he do when he sees her in school tomorrow? Clayton turned and began his pace back home, because Tamerlane really did need to be fed. In the end, he decided he'd figure it all out when he got there.

As she opens her eyes, Jessie could feel that her face was slightly wet. Her hand reaches up to her face and wipes away the liquid. It seems that she had cried in her sleep. She bites her lips as she remember that she dreamt about seeing Clara, which was probably the cause of her tears. She quickly wipes her face dry as she prepares to get ready for school. Her mother asked her if she wanted to stay home for a few days, but she insisted she was fine to go to school. After she washes her face and brushes her teeth, she puts her hair in a quick and messy bun with plenty of loose strands framing her face. She looks in the mirror for last time, frowning slightly at her slightly puffy eyes. She quickly changes before heading downstairs for breakfast. She gives her parents a smile before going to school.
She walks in the quiet main lobby of the school. It looks like she was early today. As she walks to her locker, she sees her friend, Eliza. Concerned about seeing Eliza talk to Aurora the previous day, she walks up and greets the girl. She inquires about the conversation and expresses her worry. Although her friend assures her it was nothing, she isn't completely convinced, but she doesn't press farther. She does offer her help whenever her friend need it before leaving to go to her locker. Once she reach her locker, she begins getting ready for class. She hopes that once she finish and yesterday's morning's events won't repeat.

The distinct feeling of a slobbery tongue drawing over his closed eyelids was exactly enough to wake him up. "Tam," he complained, pushing the heavy dog off of his chest. Letting out a heavy breath, Clayton lay in bed staring at the ceiling just a moment longer. Once he got up, he quickly got ready for the day with a simple set of jeans, tee, and black leather jacket. Breakfast was spent alone at the table, with Tamerlane eating from his bowl by the chair's leg. His mom already ate an hour ago and left, while his dad got home only a few hours ago and was still sleeping up in his room. Cheerios sure felt lonely sometimes. He gave his dog a thorough goodbye before picking up his bag and driving to school. On the staircase leading to the school doors, he caught sight of Skylar and the others. Jogging up the steps, he greeted them with a smile and told them he had to talk to a teacher this morning. It was a lie, of course, but he just needed the morning to himself and his thoughts. They always talked about the same things, anyways. The halls were relatively quiet, and he walked leisurely down towards his locker. Along the way his mind wandered between his classes, last night, and plans for the day. He was considering when and where he should jog Tam when his shoulder brushed against somebody at their locker. It wasn't a forceful contact, but it was sure to be felt. "Sorry," he apologized, turning and raising a hand in the direction of the person's shoulder. "I di- oh." Once actually looking at the person, he realized it was Jessie. He blinked, "Hi," he said lamely.

Just as Jessie was about to close her locker, someone body bumped into her. It didn't make her drop her books or anything, but it did make her pause her action and look at whoever it was. She turns the person as they spoke. When she realizes it was Clayton, she looks at him frozen for a minute, before she blinks as well. She gives him a soft smile as he greets her. "Hi." she says back as her body relaxes and she closes her locker door. She turns to face him, but her eyes glance around the room. She was glad the hallway they were in was empty right now. People like to talk in this school, while it is amusing to hear the things they come up with, she doesn't know if she can people coming up to her and asking questions. Not knowing what to sure, she stands there awkwardly, looking at the ground beside her for a few seconds. She bites her lip looking at him properly. "Uh, thanks for yesterday again." she begins. She doesn't know exactly where she is going with this. She tries to think of what to say next, but the only that comes out is a series of ums and uhs. She stops herself and takes a breath. "I just want to say, if you need a hand anytime, you know where to find me." she offers. She instantly starts feeling shy as those words left her mouth. Her gaze quickly reverts back to the ground. "An-anyways. Uh. Was your dog alright yesterday?" she asks, trying desperately to change the subject. She lifts her free hand to hold the books as well.

This was a little awkward, he decided as he too glanced around. Nothing but lockers and closed doors looked back, and he whips his head back around to face her when she speaks. "No problem," he murmurs and nods minutely. She looked like she was about to say more, so he met her eyes to listen. With each 'um,' though, his eyebrows rose higher and higher into his bangs. By the time she prepared herself to continue on, his lips were pressed between his teeth and he wasn't quite sure where she was going with this. His features relaxed in surprise and something a little more pleasing at her words, his lips curling in a soft smile. "Thanks," he told her with heavy sincerity. "And yeah, he was fine. A little cranky, but nothing an antler can't fix," he shrugged. The dog really did like his antler chews, perhaps more than he did Clayton. He watched as Jessie lifted another hand to her books, taking silent note of it. She seemed to be kind of nervous around him as of late, and it in turn made him a little uneasy around her. He chewed on his left cheek and tapped his fingers on his bag strap, where it hung over his right shoulder. "And uh," he blurted, "Everything alright with your parents... and all that?" Smooth, he cringed. If was going to talk to the girl, he at least needed to gain some of his control again.

Jessie glances up at him as he spoke. She smiles at his answer. She wasn't sure why she is feeling so nervous around him. Sure, she was a little shy with people, mostly strangers, but never to this point. Plus, he is no stranger and she hadn't have too much problem snapping back at him before yesterday. She decides to not dwell on it much or at least not now. She looks at him as he spoke again. It seems that he is also a little nervous. That observation made her relax a bit, at least the feeling is mutual. It made her feel less weird about it, even if it still were. "Yeah. They weren't angry or anything, just worried." she says, thinking back to last time. She remembers how tightly her mother hugged her when she got home. Her parents were never too harsh on her when she was little late to come home. She could understand their worry this time with the state she was in when she left, the situation and how it was later than usual. "And I'm...dealing." she answers. "It's hard, but it could be a lot worse." She lifts her head slightly to look at him. "Honestly, I would have totally be lost right now if I didn't talk about it with you." she says sincerely. It obviously still hurts, but she knows not to let that take over her life.
