Tony is very much the warrior type, he's strong, stubborn
and quick to rush to a fight. He enjoys basically any
physical activities, minus dancing; despite his great
balance and skill with a sword, he is not a very good
dancer and he knows it. He can be witty and charming
when he wants to be, otherwise he's rather brutish and
sometimes rude. He babbles when he's nervous, and he
gets nervous around people he genuinely likes. He doesn't
need a lot of outside help, believes that he can do all
that he needs to do himself. He has the confidence to
know that he is attractive, but he still has a hard time
figuring out if someone actually likes him, or if they're
just looking for a good time. He has served the royal
family, one way or another, for a larger part of his life.
He believes that there is nothing more for him to do with
his life, given his talent for combat, than to protect the
ones leading his kingdom. He aspires to one day lead the
king's army, but at his age, he knows he has a long way to
go to achieve such a dream. He's mentored the sisters
for just about as long as he's been fighting; teaching some
how to fight with weapons, others to defend themselves,
and sometimes he's there for advice when they need it.
Though, most of the time, his advice is something along
the lines of "just kill it". But he's always there when they
just need someone to talk to.

positive relationships

samuel. she's known sam since they were children. his adoptive mother was the healer that tried to cure natalya's blindness before nicolette was born. sam and natalya played together as children and even when his mother stopped coming by to try cure her, they remained friends and have only grown closer as the years have passed. natalya trusts sam a lot and admires his kind nature.
brianna. natalya is sort of protective of brianna, since she's the youngest of the four sisters and the most 'princess-y'. the two share a close bond over their love of music, and natalya loves to listen to her sister sing. brianan also goes to natalya for guidance or when she has a problem, and natalya is always happy to help out brianna and will go out of her way to do so.
fionn. natalya always asks fin to tell her about the forest and the creatures in it whenever fin is around the castle, since she can't experience them for herself. stories are one of her favorite things to listen to since she can't read herself, and likes hearing fin's recounts of the forest best, even if what happens isn't always exciting. they've become friends over time because of this, and get along well.
rhena. she and her sister share a love of books, and rhena will sometimes stop by to read her one of her favorite adventure books. they are different in the fact natalya would love to be out living one of these adventures, while rhena would rather stay safe in the castle, but the two are close nonetheless. rhena will also just come see her to discuss more 'princess-y' things such as dresses or the latest cute boy that's stopped by the castle.
caoimhe. caoimhe is 100% on board with natalya trying to do things herself, and will even try to bring her along when she sneaks out of the castle. that doesn't always work though, so caoimhe will also bring back plants, flowers, and even small animals when she can to show natalya. other times natalya will try to get caoimhe to go to her lessons and act like a lady, rather than running around in the woods all the time, which will lead to arguments.

neutral relationships

nicolette. as much as natalya loves her sisters, she and nicolette have always been a bit distant. Ever since natalya was old enough to understand what being denied her birthright in favor her sister meant, she's held nicolette at arm's length. she mostly blames their parents for what happened, and refuses to admit that perhaps having someone not blind lead their country might be a good idea. natalya is jealous of the fact nicolette seems to be good at everything, while she has very limited options to what she can even do.
dorian. the two don't know each very well, but have met a few times. when natalya sneaks out of the castle with caoimhe, she will sometimes convince her sister to go to the marketplace rather than the woods - and in the square, dorian is often found reading to children. the last few times natalya has stopped and listened, and now comes regularly to hear him read. she only knows him by voice and he doesn't recognize the eldest princess in the crowd of faces. him being the royal scholar and her enjoying books might lead to meeting in the library however, and then perhaps friendship from there.
islwyn. though natalya finds nothing wrong with islwyn as a person, they just don't interact enough for her to have much of an opinion of him. she does share his love for adventure, but she's realized it's more realistic for her to appreciate it in books rather than real life. as it is, natalya doesn't go to the docks very often; she finds them smelly and unpleasant, and too many unpredictable things to navigate them safely. when her and islwyn do speak, they are polite to one another.

negative relationships

antonio. natalya once received sword fighting lessons from antonio, much like her sister nicolette. however, due partly to her impatience and partly to her blindness, she was unable to learn how to fight with a sword. she wanted to do too many things before she was ready, frustrating both antonio and herself. eventually they stopped the lessons, but resumed shortly after with a different goal in mind: defence. this was more hand-to-hand combat instead of weapons, something natalya is doing much better at. regardless, they have never had more than a professional relationship due to both of their past failures.
