He sneaked closer and swiftly pounced on it killing it with one bite. "Lets get alot of prey back" he meowed to Dawnflower starting the search again after burrowing his squirrel.

Dustpaw gave his friend a short nod "You might be right there" he admitted. "I cant wait until we become warriors, we can finally do things our selves without depending on our mentors to take us" he mewed a faint smile appearing on his face.

Otterkit was scared by the sudden panic of his mother and other cats. He crawled closer to Gullstep trying to hide in her fur giving off worried mews. He didn't know what was going on but all he knew was that he was scared.

Florian heard the front door open, but his twolegs, they were screaming at eachother and smelled very strange. He walked closer to see what was going on to see that they were starting to get violent against eachother. Florian was confused by this, he had never seen them act like this before. He mewed a few times but the twolegs did not hear him.

(Well I feel ready to take the leader role any time now so its really up to you as to when you want Fernstar to dissapear, I like Darias suggestion that it would be after the half moon.)

"Oh dear, make sure they are all okay." She mewed before hearing Threeleg's murmur. "Don't think like that. Snakemint knows you are doing everything you can, it is just an unfortunate time." Then she padded away, still concerned. "Dustpaw?" She called the male's name, unaware that he was badly injured in Threeleg's den.

"Okay, I will." He mewed, thankful for her soothing words. He turned back to Gullstep, eyes clouding with grief. "I don't think there is anything else I can do." He admitted, sitting back and curling his tail around his three legs.

Juniperfrost nodded. "Yes, Threeleg knows yes. I think I will tell Fernstar tomorrow when the Clan calms down again." She mewed before hearing the leader call Dustpaw's name. "When she finds Dustpaw in such a condition she will want to know exactly what happened." She warned the younger fæ.

"Yeah, we can go in more perilous adventures without worrying about getting told off." He mewed, looking forward to the day when he received his warrior name. He turned his head at Fernstar's voice, calling his friend's name. "Remember to tell the truth. I'll come and explain too if I think I have to step in." He smiled at the other tom.

Aquilo smiled at the ginger tabby. "Don't be upset if they reject you, they are in a tough situation at the moment. If you want a better chance at being accepted, I would give them a few days. Oh, and don't just walk into their camp, wait until you are found by a cat. But the more obvious, the better." He advised, waving his tail in a friendly manner.

Whiterain picked up the small bramble tendrils and carried them across to the apprentices' den. He set them down before beginning to patch up the den with what little materials they had left.

Dustpaws ears laid flat on his head when he heard his name be called by the leader. He looked at Sparrowpaw and gave him a nod "Of course I will be honest, why would I not be" he mewed back to him before he stood up on his three usable legs hopping out of the den to respond to the call "I-im here" he meowed back to Fernstar once he was outside of the den. His head dropping low along with his tail, he knew he would not be ready for what was comming.

He asked before entering the den to find Sparrowpaw sitting there, scratched, bruised and bitten. "Great StarClan! You all look like you've been fighting Bone and his foxes all over again!" He exclaimed, ignoring the young tom's question

Dustpaw looked up at Fernstar with guilt "W-well, you see" he started his tail twiching as he spoke out of slight fear "We went to willowclan to see if it really was destroyed, and if so if there were any other cas that had survived." he explained to the leader. "Once we arrived we did confirm that it was destroyed and that there were no cats around" he continued his tail increasing in speed. "When we were about to leave Bones foxes appeared and attacked us, and well luckily we made it back alive" he stammered in the end.

"And what did you hope to achieve through this?" She asked, angered that the three apprentices had wandered off and purposefully gotten themselves hurt. Before she could get an answer, Threeleg asked to see Dustpaw and so she nodded. "Go and see Threeleg. I will decide what to do with the three of you." She flicked her tail to dismiss the badly injured apprentice before turning around and padding away. She would tell Dustpaw who his new mentor was when he got seen to. There was probably no point though, as he would be there for a while. "Ashspots?" Fernstar called, looking around for the warrior.

Threeleg turned and looked at Berrypaw. "Why on earth would you go and fight the foxes again? Stop giving your medicine cat a heart attack by looking for trouble!" He snapped, stress beginning to creep up on him. "Because of your foolishness, Dustpaw most likely has a broken leg!" With a huff, he poked his head out of the den and asked Fernstar to send Dustpaw inside before turning to look at his apprentice. "Goldenpaw? Could you check Sparrowpaw's wounds? They don't look too severe and I'm sure you know enough herbs to help him out." He mewed with a smoother voice. There was no reason to be angry with the golden male.

Juniperfrost entered the nursery and looked at Gullstep. "I'm sorry Applekit had to go so soon," She mewed, giving the other queen a comforting lick on the shoulder. "She is with StarClan now, and I'm sure they will care for her."

Sparrowpaw was relieved when Berrypaw came in and explained for him, but he flinched when Threeleg suddenly snapped. Ever since Snakemint had died, the medicine cat had grown out of his grumpy persona and had been more gentle. Obviously he could still be grumpy when he wanted to be. "We're sorry Threeleg! We were just curious!" He apologised with a sigh.
