the tom let out a sigh of relief as the medicine cat confirmed he'd picked the right herb. although he was disappointed with stoatfur's next words, he was grateful for the tom's honesty. "okay. is there anything else i can do to help?" he asked, looking up at the medicine cat.

the ill apprentice nodded to the medicine cat, eating the last of the herbs before closing her eyes. sleep made her anxious, as she never knew whether she would pass, but she was too exhausted to keep moving, and so she fell asleep.

the fæ stood up and looked at ashblaze. "yeah, that would be nice." she agreed before smiling at him. "i'm glad i've got you, ashblaze. you're the only one keeping me sane!" she chuckled a little before beginning to head the the camp entrance.

A while later, Owlcall returned with Sheep. He pushed a dish under the gap in the fence before hopping over the fence to get to the other side, Sheep scrambling after him. Owlcall pushed the bowl into the abandoned twoleg den and over to Tawnyshadow and the kits. "Here." he mewed, nudging the dish full of milk towards the kits, watching as the grey and black tom sniffed curiously at the milk before lapping at it. "I'll go find Coconutpaw." Owlcall mewed, tracking the medicine cat apprentice's scent trail.

"I found food for the kits." Owlcall mewed once he found Coconutpaw and the third kit. "She needs to eat. She looks the weakest out of the three."

Ryemouse purred happily, leaning forward and nipping at one of his ears before laying her head back down. After several moments of watching her kits, she fell asleep.

Stoatfur stroked Tansypaw's flank with his tail until she fell asleep, continuing a little after that to make sure she was actually asleep before he turned to face Sparrowpaw. Minnowkit twisted around, resting her head on Wolfkit's back. She yawned widely, licking her lips a few times before she closed her eyes. She tucked her tiny legs under her body, her tail tip twitching a few times before it slowly stopped as she fell asleep as well.

Briar eyes widened in shock half-way through Cherryflame's story, realizing that she had heard the same story, mostly, many times from Berry and Raindrop ever since she was old enough to comprehend what they were saying. Grief welled in her eyes as Cherryflame ventured to the part of the story that she hadn't heard, but always knew had happened.
