The door creaked upon slowly, revealing a small house with a dark interior. It's insides were poorly polished, dust and grime coating everything in sight. However, it was hard to tell if this was decor or just a plain lack of house care, seeing as large displays were everywhere. The ceiling was covered in streamers, and there was a 'keep out' sign hanging on a coat rack. Soon, a dog dressed up as a witch stepped out, grinning and holding out a bowl of candy.

Allison sat in front of a small mirror on top of her dresser. She smoothed out her brand new dress, and began to comb her hair. Finally, she placed a small witch hat on her head, and smiled in the mirror. Tonight was going to be great! She hopped off her stool and checked her phone. Confirming that her friends were going to be coming to the huge party she was hosting later on.

Slowly she walked down the stairs, hoping everyone would like her costume. She held the trail of her dress up with her paw so as not to trip on the steps and soon she was picking up her trick or treating bag and running out the door. The moon illuminated the streets and lit up the path ahead of her. She walked for a while, wanting to get out of her usual neighbourhood. After running along the sidewalk for a substantial amount of time, she looked around. The house nearest to her was glowing in the night mist, and she decided to go there first.

Biting her lip, she knocked on the door. "Trick or treat?"
