everyone is a little hazy on how it happened. you know the comet? it returns every hundred years. it came back three times after the false brightest night. well.. you know the weirdo magic powers that the moons grant to nightwings? lemme tell you straight. this is the fourth time the comet has returned, but this time it.. stayed. continued to hang in the sky. but lemme tell you, the weirdest things began to happen. dragons born under it and a few select adults gained powers. no, not just nightwings. all the tribes. and not just mind reading or precognition. otherworldly powers. some can use electricity, some can control fire, a ton of things. we call them the chosen. some are stronger than others. at first they used their powers to benefit pyrrhia; they expanded the cities, created new paradises, created oases, everything. but eventually, their powers corrupted them. powerful chosen took the major cities for their own, wreaking havoc across the continent and leaving the towns and cities to rot. some are safer than others, ruled by major chosen and their powerful empire of soldiers to enforce things.

everything is chaos. at least this place is the safest around. hmm? oh, right. i'm jay, the skywing leader of the revelations. who are we? we're a very well trained underground group dedicated to taking out the chosen, one by one. it isn't an easy job, mind you. chosen are very hard to take out, and we have to stay hidden. any movement we make out in the open could send us to our immediate deaths.

this takes place four hundred years after the false brightest night in the scorpion den, in the kingdom of sand. it has been expanded drastically, but has recently falling into decay. it's surrounded by a dome of an unknown metal, even going all the way around underground, and is impenetrable by any material. it is ruled by a metal-bending nightwing major chosen by the alias of elinvar. the city still has light, made from hanging orbs of concentrated flame like the orbs of the moon globe tree. crisscrossing tunnels are dug far into the earth below the city, and homes are dug from the ground by earth benders. the upper streets - or the surface - is more for the higher class dragons, and the lower class reside in the understreets. food is hard to come by, but elinvar has supply routes from nearby farms / factories that bring in weapons and food from unknown and very well hidden entrances. large pools and rivers are scattered around the scorpion den, created by a water-bending chosen. elinvar never let's any dragon outside the city. he resides an a palace-like structure in the middle of the city, made from impenetrable metal.

a chosen's power can vary greatly. some have earth, fire, water, or any element bending, some can transform materials into another such as metal, nearly anything is possible [ they cannot have immortality, control over time, or weather manipulation. for the sake of the roleplay, invincibility is allowed, as long as their weakness can shut it down ]. but every chosen has a weakness to disrupt their powers. no more, no less. it can be completely random. the revelations research chosen weaknesses to take them out; usually by searching what they avoid or continue to use. some chosen have eat, drink, or hold something to use their powers. as stated, the weaknesses are completely random, but no chosen doesn't have one. chosen usually give themselves an alias based around their powers, but isn't necessary.

appearance: elinvar is a massive, pitch-black nightwing, with bright, cold blue eyes 'like a flicker of flame.' he has slightly larger wings than a usual nightwing's, and is very powerfully built. normal nightwing i guess.
personality: cold, ruthless, ambitious. very mysterious and never shows his face often. rules with an iron fist, and doesn't exactly appreciate dragons trying to take his throne. despite his strict and merciless nature, elinvar provides well for the city, but makes them all live in fear. none much is known about elinvar besides the stated.
abilites: major powers: metal-bending, invincibility. minor: echolocation. has fire breath and can blend into shadows like any other nightwing. none know his weakness, and he makes absolute sure of that.

personality: jay is very optimistic and humorous. he can be serious when he needs to be, and when provoked, can easily lose his temper. he believes the only way to save pyrrhia is to exterminate every chosen, and thinks there is no way there can be a good chosen. he's very intelligent and a good strategist, and is skilled with various weapons. jay cares deeply for the safety of his teammates, and has a deep hatred for the chosen, major or not.
abilites: skilled flier, improved lungs, the skywing jazz. has too little fire. very skilled with all sorts of weapons.

appearance: has the overall build of a nightwing. fortuity is a dark blue-grey with a lighter underbelly, bright blue eyes, and the icewing ruff and tail spikes. she has partially serrated talons and sharper scales. along her legs and wings, fortuity has the icewing scale pattern, and the rest is the nightwing - but, like stated, sharper. the scales on her face, running from her 'beak' to her neck, are the same color as her underbelly, whereas the scales running from her nose to above her eyes / forehead are a much darker color. has a narrower face like that of an icewing, and is very tall, but doesn't have very powerful flying muscles.
personality: fortuity, unlike most chosen, is very bright and humorous. she's rather awkward around others, and is prone to get flustered easily. fortuity is very expressive while she speaks, and is said by some to be overly dramatic at times. despite her flaws, fortuity cares deeply for her friends, and hates being alone. she'll never admit it, but it's a fear of hers.
abilites: frostbreath, can withstand the cold and bright light. very good at stealth and using her main weapon, which is a blowgun - one that resembles a sniper rifle, but shoots darts containing dragonbite viper venom. she stole it from a revelation member when she was a bit younger, without knowing of their existence at the time.

appearance: a very tall, thin nightwing who towers over most dragons her age. slightly larger than average talons. she has dark magenta scales, with darker overscales and a lighter underbelly. she has much lighter and smaller scales along her body, most prominently on her snout and the back of her neck. she has bright pink-ish eyes that fade to purple, and the underside of her wings resembles pink nebulae.
personality: victorious is quiet and calculating, probably studying every move you make and everything about you. she's a trained assassin, manipulated to never feel emotion, and to kill with no remorse. in some cases, some of her emotions will shine through, as well as a bit of humor. she's like to challenge another chosen's power and often makes jabs - friendly, most of the time. victory isn't afraid to use her powers despite the corruption, though sometimes she'll hesitate when using them, knowing what it does to others.
abilites: can breathe fire and all. her two major powers: able to control darkness / shadows in any way, and can grow additional limbs. her minor power is 360-degree vision.
