when the cold wind's a calling
and the sky is clear and bright
misty mountains sing and beckon,
lead me out into the light
♕
I will ride, I will fly
chase the wind and touch the sky
I will fly
chase the wind and touch the sky

The first of the twins to be born the beautiful blonde and blue eyed babe was given the name Caoimhe (KEE-vah), a name that meant 'beautiful and gentle' in the hopes that she would grow into that kind of woman and though Caoimhe did grow into a beauty there isn't anyone who would call her gentle. Ever since she found her feet as a toddler Caoimhe has gone on grand adventures from exploring the kitchen and stables to venturing into the forest of the lost easily finding her way in the tangle of trees. Perhaps it's bravery or perhaps it's recklessness but the dark shadows of the forest have never scared the princess in fact the forest was where she became truly alive. In her lessons her wild energy seemed to fizzle and die, embroidery was too painfully slow and trying to run a household seemed beyond Caoimhe's patience, her parents dreams of her being the perfect princess seemed to be unattainable. If she got too bored in a lesson or her teacher looked away for a minute Caoimhe would be gone out the door (or window) only to come back hours later with leaves and twigs caught up in her hair and a ring of mud around the bottom of her dress. The only lessons the young princess attended with some regularity were her riding and dance lessons both of which Caoimhe excelled at. Spending as much time as she did in the forest Caoimhe's senses became sharp, she could recognize every bird call and could track animals as competently as any hunter, in her own world of only forest and sky Caoimhe had no need of a curtsy or to know which house was aligned with which all she needed was a keen eye and to be fleet of foot. Though most of her days were spent in the forest Caoimhe has a deep love for her family and her people, though she knows she will never lead Caoimhe is content to help in ways that best suit her abilities. While she cannot host a party or play the sweet young girl for any sort of suitors Caoimhe could act as a voice for the people, her many escapes from the castle giving her a chance to hear what a member of the royal family often couldn't; honesty. Informing her parents and her sisters of the kind of problems the people dealt with on a daily basis made trying to fix them that much easier. Observant of her surroundings Caoimhe has learned to sort out important information from unimportant hoping that in her own way she could contribute to the well being of her family and her people.
