I adore animals and I own an adorable lil' 8 pound egyptian mau/tabby mix whom I love more than myself. I'm a fan of star wars, pokémon, harry potter, the legend of zelda, naruto, and all things nerdy. I'm studying to become an aerospace engineer. What kind of pen pal are you looking for: id love to find people who are willing to write to me in japanese. im not looking for anyone to teach me, nor anyone who's wanting me to explicitly teach them either. i just personally feel the best practice you can get is through general and light conversation, even if its small talk! you dont need to be fluent, nor do you need to know much! im rusty myself, i havent held an online convo in forever. so if you're a beginner its absolutely fine to message me. my only request is that you know basic hiragana and katakana, simple kanji would be nice but not entirely required, and we dont need to be constantly writing every day, just whenever we have the time to.
all i really ask of you is that there just be no writing in romaji, or strictly using google translate to talk to me. its very unprofessional and wont help you learn much at all!! so dont be scared of making mistakes, we can both correct and help each other out if we catch something is wrong, i promise i dont bite <3

Why do you want a pen pal: i used to use the website lang-8 almost daily, (thats my profile!) but i dont use it very much anymore. besides that, i also used to frequently post on language threads here on CS back when i was an older member. but now that its been a while, id love more direct conversation instead. i feel it helps find fluidity in natural responses, and really keeps me on my toes thinking and making sure things are as correct as i can get em.

Anything interesting about yourself: i love art, creepy scary theories and stories, im a massive youtube junkie (especially for makeup tutorials, baby animals give me life, and cute things are what plague my existence and make me incredibly happy. :'-) other than that, language learning is my only other hobby and im currently trying to focus on korean as well. its pretty interesting heheh

Anything interesting about yourself: I am an ordinary teenage girl interested in biology and planning to be a biologist someday as well as a veterinarian, I love all types of animals as well and currently living with a furry companion. I love drawing in all types of art mediums. To describe my personality, I'm more of an introverted person where I mostly curl up in a corner and focus on a book for more than two-three hours because my whole reality vanished and what the book visualise just comes to real life, as I'm quite a book lover as well.
