Arrow-Male-Sentinal-Tags: Winter, Open

Arrow looked at Winter, some sympathy showing in his eyes. "I'm sure you'll be fine. You pups can always find the good in things, and maybe the new place will be full of things that'll interest you." He said quietly, almost wanting to add, 'You won't be with only one other wolf who wants to murder you.' but knowing Winter was too young to know, and when does Arrow just reveal his past? Never.

Apathmo~Male~3 Years~Hunter
Apathmo bowed his head in respect and put the prey down on the ground. "Flash," he said, "there is more prey than there are mouths to carry it. Should the pack have another meal before we leave?" He glanced back to see if Winter had followed. A dark grey-blue had taken over the pup's color, and his eyes flashed a pale yellow before he could stop them. Focusing, he made sure his entire body was the same monotonous grey before turning back to the temporary alpha. Why was he worried about a pup? Winter was just a pup and absolutely none of his business. At least, that's what he told himself.

She perked her ears to what he said, then gazed over at the prey pile, thinking over what to do. It did seem a good idea for everyone to have one last meal before they went, that way they'd have enough energy to travel as far away as possible. They would need to be quick though... Just thinking about staying a little bit longer made her anxious... Whilst gazing over at the prey, she noticed the pup Winter was lying down, away from his play mate Flame and the caretaker Ember. She raised a questioning brow, wondering what on earth was going through that pup's mind- he was almost NEVER seen without Flame by his side. Memories of watching Death chat and play with Winter came to mind, making a frown appear on the temporary Alpha's maw. Maybe he missed the Beta Male... They had been close... I should make it my business to talk to him as well... She thought, giving a quiet sigh as she turned back to Apathmo. So many things do to, and they hadn't even begun traveling yet...

"Yes, everyone should fill their stomach's before we go, and those who aren't carrying herbs or possibly one of the pups should carry prey as well." She paused for a second, wondering why she had told him that when she could've just announced it to the whole pack. "Since you're a hunter, start passing out the prey." Her gaze fell on Winter again. "Also, try to nudge Winter back in Flame and Ember's direction. In a time like this, he ought to be with his loved ones, not away from them... I don't want him trying to travel without them either."

The pup silently laid there, trying to coax himself into sleep, but Arrow's words reache his ears before he could truly nod off, causing him to open his eyes and glance up at the hunter. You pups can always find the good in things. Not now... He thought miserably. Of course, there was the faint hope that wherever they were going might be really nice, which Arrow echoed out loud, but that didn't make him very happy either. "Yeah..." It might be very nice, but what if we just have to leave again...? The very idea caused something else to stir within him, a dark feeling the sensitive little pup wasn't used to... Anger. Hatred. "Why do those stupid humans have to ruin everything...?" He growled low to himself, unaware that he'd even said it out loud. First they made them have to leave their homes, making everyone sad, then they possibly take three of their pack members, and now everyone had to move again? It wasn't fair! I wish we could make them run... This time, he kept that thought to himself. He didn't put any hope in it though, knowing just how monstrous those humans were. The grown ups were terrified of them, so clearly they were pretty bad... Though he was angry, the idea of actually trying to fight a human still sent shivers down his spine, images of the human they'd seen in the meadow flashing back. It's not fair...

Flame watched Flash talk with Apathmo, half-wondering what they were talking about, half-dreading the imminent announcement that it was time to leave.

"Alright, Alpha," Apathmo said quietly, pushing the prey he had brought with him toward the temporary Alpha of the pack. Even if she was temporary, though, Flash still deserved the respect due to an Alpha. He bowed his head and turned toward the prey pile again. "Arrow," he said as he approached, "Flash wants everyone to eat something before we leave. I'm open to ideas on how to make sure that happens." Flicking his ears, he turned toward Winter. Flash had wanted him to get Winter back to Flame and Ember, but Apathmo wasn't quite sure how. "Winter, could I ask you to do something very important for me?" he asked, crouching down to eye level with the pup.

Amber nodded, and picked up the herbs, then she turned her head to Flash, having eaten earlier in the morning, she could last until later, leave the food for those who needed it. Her normally cranky attitude had melted away in the urge to leave, leaving a calm sense of peace...mostly. She still had a head-ache from trying to keep everyone's thoughts out of her own head, but the sound of falling rain was soothing, and she glanced back at Galen, wondering if he would be alright, with all the herbs he would need to leave behind.

As he flew, Plagg saw that the wolves inside camp were moving around, preparing to move once again...If only there was a place Plagg mentally sighed [i]I better get back and help with preparations he thought, pulling into a dive, halting it and landing in the middle of camp, before returning to his usual black furred and green eyed self. "Anything I can do to help?" the shape-shifter asked, wondering what would need done. While out scouting, he had eaten enough berries and grass as birds and deer, so that he wasn't hungry, though now that he was a wolf again, his tongue was giving him some serious protest.

The she-wolf's face gave a faint twitch when Apathmo called her Alpha. She understood full well that that was her title now, but it was weird to hear it out loud... In all fair honesty, she'd always thought she'd stay Beta for the rest of her life, believing that Snow would get a mate, have pups, and place one of them in charge when she was ready to step down. Flash never expected to rise in the ranks and claim the Alpha title... Everything's different now... She resisted the urge to look sad, instead forced herself to focus on the prey Apathmo had nudged towards her. She stared down at the creature, trying to make herself hungry by imaging the taste of it's meat and how satisfying it was to have a full stomach, but it made no difference- she felt too stressed and gloomy to eat. Still, she needed to set an example for the pack, right? Besides, just because she wasn't hungry didn't mean she didn't need to eat, and it was best to take her own advice on filling up before the journey.

As she was lowering her head to take a forced bite, she saw movement out of her upper peripheral, casuing her to shove her ears forward and gaze up, her mouth still slightly agape. Ah, there's Plagg. Suppose I won't be needed to talk with Amber then. In fact, not only had he returned, but he was coming towards her. She quickly lifted her head to properly address the male, looking serious once more.

"To reduce the prey and gather energy for the journey, everyone is having a quick meal before we go." She looked him over for a second with a raised brow, wondering where he'd been and what he'd been doing. Considering how long he'd been out of camp, it was possible he had already eaten. "If you're full, just go find some prey to carry and be ready to leave."

He lifted his head to gaze at Apathmo when the wolf returned, faintly curious about what he and Flash had been discussing. He wasn't really dying to know, he just figured it'd be a good distraction from all these dark feelings... He looked back and forth between Apathmo and Arrow as the former was given instructions. Flash wanted everyone to eat before leaving, and apparently it was up to the hunters to make that happen. A sour taste came to Winter's mouth. Oh, we have time to eat, but not to look for Death or Snow or Luna? I thought we needed to leave right away! His lip curled in a tiny growl, but he forced it down, knowing it was bad to think such things, especially about an adult. Deep in his mind, he knew it was just his emotions speaking, but he couldn't entirely let it go.

Apathmo then turned to look at him, crouching low so he was at eye level with the pup. Almost instantaneously, Winter forgot about his dark thoughts, tilting his head in curiosity. Important? What could he do? "What...?" He questioned innocently.

Not knowing what else to say, the healer decided he'd just wait until it was time to leave. In the meantime, he followed Amber's gaze and looked at Flash, who was currently speaking to Apathmo. Seeing the two together, he began to have similar thoughts about who would be the next Beta/Delta. I wonder if she'll choose one right away, or wait until everything's calmed down... He gave a small, slightly sad smile. I wonder if she'll even choose one at all... She might still need time to accept the others aren't coming back. His smile fell. Call him a pessimist, but Galen personally didn't believe they'd ever see the others again. It just didn't make sense for them to go missing, stay away from the pack so long, and just come back all fine and dandy. Even if they could get away from whatever was keeping them (humans most likely), the pack would be gone by then, their scents probably too faded to track. He could understand if everyone else held some hope in their hearts that the others would return, but Galen knew better than to get his hopes up. He shook his head a little as he privately hoped Flash would move on soon, if not already.

Apathmo had left the Be- ahem, Alpha, leaving her alone with some food. At the same time, Plagg re-appeared in camp and made his way over to her. Galen glanced at Amber, finally knowing what to say. "Ah, it seems your son is back. Perhaps you should go check in with him before we leave? I assure you the herbs won't be going anywhere." He smiled patiently at her.

Amber smiled, and set her herbs down "I'll be back in a moment" she said, turning, and walking over to her son. She touched her nose to his forehead for a moment, before stepping back a step. "I'm glad you are well son" she said "You may not have gotten the news, but Flash is alpha now, Snow, Death, and Luna and are missing. Did you see any sign of them while you were out there?" she wanted to believe that the missing wolves had just gone out to hunt...but if that were so, they should have returned by now. When he replied, shaking his head. Amber nodded her head in understanding, before saying "we had better get back to helping the others" and turning back to Galen, picking up the small pile of herbs once more.

Plagg nodded to Flash, and was about to go and gather some prey to carry, which would hopefully stop his tongue from going on strike, his mother approached. Plagg smiled, but it quickly turned to a frown when she told him the news. Shaking his head, Plagg replied "I didn't, they might have left while I was scouting the farthest parts of the territory first, and then slipped by me when I circled back." His tail drooped, when he realized that almost all of their leaders were gone.
Plagg nodded again, when his mother said they had better get back to work, and once she left he picked up two squirrels, before looking around, wondering when they would leave.
