do you prefer cats or dogs? why?

i love them both - but as a person with terrible
anxiety i find a cat easier to handle. i've had many
of both in my life, but kitties (or the ones I have
owned) are far more tame than most of the dogs
i've acquainted with. there's nothing like reading a
good book with a purring kitty cat as company.
