Beaver sighed, staring at Wisteria. What was wrong? He licked Wisteria's ears before heading outside.

Leopardstripe sobbed quietly, his breathes choked.

Adderstrike;;

Adderstrike gave a small, relieved sigh when he walked away. "I didn't want him to know I was worried he'd take you from me," he muttered to Rustpelt.

"Well he's not gonna. He's just a friend, and I had to make up with him at some point." Rustpelt licked her mates shoulder in a reassuring way.

Adderstrike;;

"You loved him when he left, still! How do I know you won't love him again?" Adderstrike muttered, digging his claws into the floor.

Cloudgaze was a bit confused at first, wondering just how Bark-kit knew that Leopardstripe was her father, until she came to the conclusion that he probably told her. Bark-kit did look quite similar to him after all and so it had probably been obvious that this was his daughter. "He is hurt." She explained to her kit, "Silverleaf can help him feel better." The queen did indeed assume that was why Leopardstripe was sobbing.

Wisteria grew even more upset when Beaver left her. He hadn't even tried to ask what was bothering her! She stood up and trotted off to the opposite end of the cabin only to return to where she had been moments later. The tabby repeated this pacing process simply to try and burn energy away so that perhaps she could calm down some.

Shadowkit nodded. "Yeah. We'll stay here with them."

"Because I love you." Rustpelt replied. "Why would I have stayed with you for so long if I still loved him?"

Cloverkit's eyes lit up. "OH OH! I can give him honey!"

Beaver sighed, taking in the cold and freezing air. He needed to think about his feelings for Rustpelt, and for Wisteria.

Leopardstripe heard Cloudgaze's voice. "Bark-kit... g-get C-Clougaze!" His voice was a little raspy.

Adderstrike;;

"Because he has a mate." Adderstrike turned away. He didn't want to, but he had doubts with Rustpelt.

Bark-kit;;

"But.. you no be sad when you 'come mates with someone!" Bark-kit mewed. "In't that how works?" She didn't know much about pain since she never was really hurt. "Mama here, daddy."

"I didn't know that when I wen't with you." Rustpelt meowed.

Specklekit hopped onto Cloudgaze's back and cuddled between her shoulder blades. "Mommy! That cat looks scary!" She said.

Leopardstripe shook his head. "N-No... I n-need to t-talk to her a-alone." He said.

"Sure. But there was no doubt then that you still loved him. Now he has a mate," Adderstrike muttered, staring off at a wall.

Bark-kit;;

"No. She my mama," Bark-kit mewed, shaking her head. She didn't often leave her mothers for very long.
