Shrewkit awoke in the nursery, feeling cold. he tried to snuggle close to his mother but all he felt was the brim of his nest.

opening his eyes, Shrewkit realized she was gone. Shrewkit heard shrieks and decided to check it out. Stoneheart wouldn't mind if he went to check just for a bit, would she? Besides, she would probably be waiting for him outside. as he begun to slink out of the nursery, the cries and shrieks begun again. something was wrong. Stepping outside of the den, the faint tang of death began to hit him. Shrewkit began the cry as well at the strange sent, but his cry was cut short as he realized what was wrong.
