Flamingkit shrugged. "I want to be the deputy one day, maybe even leader." She mewed, pausing in the grooming of her tail for a moment to look at Hawkpaw.

"I couldn't possibly become deputy if I had kits to distract me." She mewed, ambition glinting in her pale eyes for a moment.

Rustpaw opened one of his eyes to peek out at Vixenpaw over his tail. He purred quietly when he saw she was already laying in her nest, but he didn't know if she was asleep yet or not. After a few moments, he thought that she was asleep so he decided to go to sleep as well.

"Oh well! But you could have a mate and have kits.We are both still young.You can have kits and become deputy after."He moved closer to her smiling."So just relax for now.You're just a kit.But...I wonder who your mentor will be."

Flamingkit's eyes glittered slightly. "I hope I get Cootrunner, she's the best."


Rustpaw grumbled slightly, his ear twitching when he heard Vixenpaw whisper to him. "Do I have to get up?" He mewed, his eyes opening a tiny bit to peer at Vixenpaw.

The tom had been awake, thinking. He didn't get much sleep the night before, his rest disturbed my dreams of Graniteslip and Greywing. Shaking his head, his hears flopping around, he padded out of his den and sat on the PineRoots. "All cats old enough to climb their own mountains gather beneath the PineRoots for a clan meeting!"

Eveningleaf twitched her ears at Puddlestar's call. She stayed in her den, gathering traveling herbs together for the journey to Moonpool later that night. "Hawkpaw?" she mewed, "We're leaving once the meeting's done."

Cootrunner padded out of the warriors den, stretching. Her pelt prickled, she was still at unease after Greywing's death. Her ears pricked at Puddlestar's call, and she sat underneath the PineRoots, listening carefully.

Pinepaw poked her head out of the medicine den, settling in the entrance so she could hear what her leader was going to say.

Embersky was hoping to become the mentor of a new apprentice.
She was walking around camp, the snow that landed all over her fur
was becoming a bother. She was trying to brush it out of her fur but
it wasn't working. She didn't like the snow and the rotting dead leaves.
She felt lonely. The sky was dead. The trees were a grey-brown and
there were no flowers. "Oh, well." she thought. "I'll pull through."
She wanted a friend, she needed a friend. Someone to talk to.

Vipereye lifted his head at Puddlestar's cry, and he stood to move closer to the pineroots to hear what was to be said. His tail flicked lightly as he did so, glancing around the camp before settling down once more with his tail circling his paws.


Birchpaw | Tom | Apprentice | //Open
Birchpaw emerged from the apprentices den at the voice, his ears back slightly as he thought about everything that had happened recently. Starclan, please let this be good news, not bad.

Ambersplash sat in her nest, tail twitching. As she heard Puddlestar's yowl, she settled on the edge of the grouped cats.

Flamingkit mewed a goodbye to Hawkpaw before hurrying off to find Cricketkit and Soaringbird. As soon as Soaringbird saw her daughters, she practically jumped on them, quickly grooming their fur so it looked nicer and sleeker. The pure white queen nudged Cricketkit and Flamingkit forward until they reached the front of the gathering clan before sitting down, curling her bushy tail over her paws, her chest puffed out in pride.

Flamingkit and Cricketkit shifted excitedly next to their mother, their paws eagerly kneading at the ground.


Rustpaw's ears pricked up when he heard Puddlestar calling for a clan meeting. "Well, I don't have a choice now." He purred to Vixenpaw, getting to his paws and leading her out of the den. The ginger tom found a good spot near the back so they'd be able to see well.


Eelmuzzle hobbled out of the elders den, sitting by himself a little bit away from the main group, licking his paw and drawing it over his grey flecked muzzle.

He walked and found himself a place close behind the kits and their mother."Good luck both of you!"He leaned closer to them and whispered to the kits giving a warm smile especially to Flamingkit who shortly will be Flamingpaw.
