Flamingkit thought carefully about her answer, not wanting it to sound like she wanted to be a warrior for the wrong reasons. "Well, I want to protect my clan of course. But I also want to make my parents proud of me, to show them that I'm not a little helpless kit anymore. They took care of me when i needed them so I want to take care of them one day."

Rustpaw smiled widely, a purr rumbling in his throat. Before he ducked into the apprentices den, the ginger tom nudged her shoulder with his nose and stuck his tongue out playfully. Once he was inside, he padded over to his nest and circled it a few times before curling up, tucking his nose under his tail.

" That is a good reason. When you're a warrior you will protect the clan,be sure." Hawkpaw said and took a small bite of food.

Flamingkit smiled happily, her tail swishing slightly as she took another bite of the hare. She chewed and swallowed before she spoke again. "So did you always want to be a medicine cat? It must be sad knowing you won't be able to take a mate or have kits."

"Well... I kinda decided in the last moment." He smiled letting the last bite for Flamingkit.

Flamingkit looked up at Hawkpaw, confused. "At the last minute?" She mewed. When she realized that he was leaving the last bit of the hare, she leaned forward and lapped it up. The white she-cat sat up, licking around her mouth to make sure that there wasn't any food stuck in her whiskers.

"What made you change your mind?"

Cinderlily had no idea what he was suppose to be doing. He'd come out to hunt but his thoughts had wandered between the time it took to leave the camp and come here, and now he was in the middle of StoneClan territory. He wasn't lost, no, but he felt alone and vulnerable - one warrior in the face of a fox or badger wasn't much.

Flamingkit smiled softly at the tom. "Well, it's good you realized where you were meant to be in time." She mewed, leaning her head down to groom her bushy tail. "I can't imagine me being anything other than a warrior. I don't think I'd even become a queen, it'd take my attention away from my duties."


Rustpaw opened one of his eyes to peek out at Vixenpaw over his tail. He purred quietly when he saw she was already laying in her nest, but he didn't know if she was asleep yet or not. After a few moments, he thought that she was asleep so he decided to go to sleep as well.

"Aww. Not a queen?But begin a queen don't take your attention from your duties.After the kits become apprentices you can return to your warrior life."

Flamingkit shrugged. "I want to be the deputy one day, maybe even leader." She mewed, pausing in the grooming of her tail for a moment to look at Hawkpaw.

"I couldn't possibly become deputy if I had kits to distract me." She mewed, ambition glinting in her pale eyes for a moment.

Rustpaw opened one of his eyes to peek out at Vixenpaw over his tail. He purred quietly when he saw she was already laying in her nest, but he didn't know if she was asleep yet or not. After a few moments, he thought that she was asleep so he decided to go to sleep as well.
