Pebblepond listed in on her father's words, her ears pinned back in fear. She had never seen a twoleg up close, and now they were taking her on a patrol to look for them? ..Was that even the purpose? She looked to her apprentice, Valerianpaw. She smiled at his innocent response - he must have never been told about them. She wondered if the tom even knows what a twoleg is.. w-well of course he has to know! Every cat does.. She shook her head, refusing to let her fear settle deep under her snow-speckled pelt.

Valerianpaw went back into the den to grab two more beddings and roll them up into the moss ball. "What do twolegs act like, Pebblepond?" Valerianpaw asked his mentor before disappearing back into the warriors den to gather more moss.

as willowbreeze continued to listen to her leaders' words, anxiety snuck deeper and deeper into her bones. she suppressed a shiver as a chill swept down her spine. two-legs? she shook her head. it was very, very rare for them to be out and around in the middle of leaf-bare, and so close to the camp too! she suppressed another tremble. never before had one of those gangly creatures venture so close to their camp. suddenly, her anxiety turned to crippling fear. she turned to her apprentice. "i was going to have us go out and hopefully salvage some herbs from the frost, but i don't think thats a good idea anymore," she mewed around a lump in her throat. the worry for her clan spiked. oh, starclan, she thought, casting her gaze towards the stormy grey skies. why did you not warn me about this sooner?

leopardstrike couldn't believe his ears. two-legs? you're kidding, right? a low growl started up deep in his chest. if one of those dumb, clumsy creatures come even close, to his clan, he would rip each and every one of them to shreds! his claws unsheathed and had begun gouging deep scores in the dirt when a familiar scent wreathed around him. he glanced down to see goldenpaw. he chuckled at her words. "ever the curious cat eh?" his anger slowly dissipated. "don't worry. hopefully we won't even encounter one."

She sat down at the warrior's entrance, watching as Valerianpaw came in and out for new moss and to toss the soiled. She pondered her response, her tail-tip flicking as her muzzle was pointed to the sky, her nose spotted with snowflakes. "Well.. they're large." She responded, her gaze drifting towards the forest often. The fear and excitement of coming into contact with a two-leg enveloped the small she-cat. "And they have four legs, like us. But each leg looks like our front legs. They walk straight up, too. Like.. like a tree." She laughed, realizing how bad she was at wording this. "And they don't even have fur! Only on the top of their heads. I find it silly, they could be attacked so easily! I wonder how they keep warm during leafbare."

Valerianpaw grabbed moss beddings into a bunch in his mouth, his ears flickering trying, to listen to Pebblepond as she spoke.
He suddenly jerked his head up, two-legs!? Walking up-wards and only having hair on their heads!? "Two-legs are strange!" He muffled with moss in his mouth. He gathered the moss outside, and turned his head to pebblepond, "Are they harmful?" He asked, his tail flickering.

".." She frowned, not wanting to crush the apprentices excitement of going on patrol tomorrow. "..Why do you think Boulderstar would call a meeting about them if they weren't dangerous?" She mewed, her voice a bit sarcastic.

Goldenpaw nodded, puffing out her cheeks in almost a pout. "Okay," She replied simply, turning tail to continue working on clearing out the snow before blinking, the sight of a new cat in the clan causing her to wrinkle her nose and crane her neck to look at her mentor in confusion, "Who is that?" She mumbled softly to herself, furrowing her brow in confusion.

Glancing around the medicine cat den, he scrunched up his face in slight annoyance when he noticed the pair of cats weren't there. "Huh," He mumbled to himself as he backed out of the den, looking over his shoulder at Constance. "They're not there," He stated in a sheepish tone.

two-legs! as if they would dare mess with his clan! wolfpaw huffed as he listened to boulderstar's words, tail lashing against the ground. the tom wouldn't stand for it! he would gladly defend amberclan from those monsters. the apprentice stood up as the leader retreated, blowing away a persistent leaf trying to get at his nose. as if wolf would be confined to camp; hopefully he would be picked to join his father and the deputy on the next few patrols. rolling his shoulders, wolfpaw entered boulderstar's den with determined green eyes, not waiting to be let in. "we should be fighting back!" he blurted out. "we can't let those fox-dungs think they can wander in on our territory." the tom's tone was unwavering and fierce, and he slashed at the ground with his claws. wolf didn't know if they could really fight two-legs, but they had to try! he understood boulderstar's reasons if he would say no, but..

Boulderstar's back was facing his kin, his tail tip flicking over his soot grey nose. He exhaled, sitting up and turning to sit in front of Wolfpaw, his shadow easily towering over the apprentice. He looked down at the tom-cat and frowned. "Twolegs.. are.." He paused for a second and cocked his head, his gaze narrowed. "You do know what Twolegs are, right, Wolfpaw?" He questioned. "They're much larger than us. Does it not intimidate you? They've been known to take cats from the forest.. I don't want that to happen to AmberClan, and we both know it." He replied, his tone hoarse.

Cypresspaw gulped fearfully and nodded.
Twolegs.
Those blasted creatures. They forever crippled him.
He shuddered as he imagined the twolegs crippling his clan just like they did to him. They destroyed his way of living. At first, as a kit, he liked the idea of being a kittypet. Infinite love and affection. Food whenever you mewed for it. After being trapped under a metal cage for a week, it was out of the question. They left him there, along with the thirty so cats. Anyway, the clan life suited him now. He was needed. He was the medicine cat apprentice. He wasn't just another cat stuck in a twoleg den, condemned to certain death. He was a clan cat.
The brown tabby tom hissed under his breath. ''I hope they leave us alone forever.''
He followed his mentors gaze to the stormy skies.
StarClan, if you're listening... Please help us.
He looked back down at his paws, the haunts of his old life slowly seeping through him.
